Adobe Reader allows you to only write to fill in forms. Forms must be created with that capability. Some allow you to fill in and save forms such as all forms from irs.gov. Some forms can only be filled in and printed but not saved. Some forms can't be filled in at all.

Nope. That is why it is called Adobe READER. All it does is READ files in PDF format. To create a PDF file you need a program such as Adobe Acrobat.

There are also several "free" programs on the Internet that allow you to create a file in another program (such as Word, Excel, Photoshop, or just about anything) and then convert it to a PDF. Go to http://download.com and look for CutePDF. It is one that I have used when I am on a PC without Acrobat.

No the reader is to read a PDF file. If you want to create them you can either get Acrobat or you can get PDF creator which allows you to print to PDF.
