Why would there be angels in the first place? Can't god just do everything directly?

Created intelligent beings are part of his kingdom. They shares his joys and his woes. How sad that Lucifer rebelled against his creator, and how sad he his smart lies made one third of the heavenly host follow him in rebellion. This rebel had to be stopped otherwise the security and happines of the whole universe would be threatened. God could have done it himself, in a split second, but such an act would have been misunderstood. Why did God kill Lucifer and his angels? Was Lucifer right, after all? So God let his loyal and faithful angels take part in this war against evil. If God would have killed the rebel alone it would also have aroused doubt in God's love. Suscpicions and wisperings would have filled the universe. By partaking in the war the holy angels got an opportuinity to more clearly understan the character of the rebel. They got more inclined to think God was right in throwing him and his followers out of heaven. If someone will ever doubt God's justice in day killing Lucifer and his followers these holy angels that fought against him will ever be able to tell about his true lying character. They will be enabled to defend their Creator by partaking in this war.

That is because people would view that as so unfair of him to abuse his power and get rid of all the evil. He gives us the choice to follow him or nit. He doesn't want to scare us into following him!

it helps to justify killing people in the name of god. Most wars have been blamed on religious differences. But god doesn't need an army to kill people. When you add up numbers in the bible, it's something like bad guys (lucifer, demons, etc.) killed three people and god killed millions(sodom gomora, the great flood, the list goes on.)
