The vet told me everything but the TSH levels are okay. First blood test showed that her values were high, the second showed it was low. She can't keep going like this. I keep thinking she can get acid reflux from vomiting so much. Has anyone else had this problem with their older cat?

Hi

I assume you are giving tapazole for this? Are you positive the thyroid level is regulated? i would go back for a blood test to make sure. In the meantime, you can give 1/4 tab of pepcid ac 2x a day for an upset stomach. has to be pepcid ac--not plain pepcid

I would go to another vet and get a second opinion on the medication. Is your cat getting fluids to keep from getting dehydrated?

I agree with the others, take her to another vet for a second opinion. There has to be some other medication, or a lower dose she can be put on where it doesn't make her so sick.

Your cat may be allergic to the medication. My vet prescribed an antibiotic twice for my cat. She threw up alot and also had diarrhea. Once the antibiotic was stopped these symptoms went away.
