Do you see one or many doctors for your medications? Trying going to one doctor and talk to him about all the meds and see if you can stop taking most. Not knowing what meds you are on, or your conditions, I can't say what you should do. But medication in certain combinations will cause side effects that lead to other meds that can cause serious problems. The least amount of medication needed is always the best.

Listen girlie, im 18 and I'm on more medications than you. So chill.
A nodual on your thyroid gland is just like a lump, or cyst if you will.
You will prolly have an ultrasound on your neck (if you havent had one already)
Then if they feel needed (based on the ultrasound results) they will give you a biopsy (stick a needle into your neck and suck out fluid from the nodule to test if it's cancerous)
But don't worry, i know needle sounds scary...but it REALLY doesnt hurt (unless you swallow while the needle is in your neck...that kills so don't do that. Lol)
If it is cancer, they will do surgery or else just radiation treatment (small pills you swallow). But the method depends on how bad it is.
Either way, you won't be on any pills until after the surgery or until after the radiation treatment, and that's still a long way off for you.
Good luck, let me know if you have any more questions.

You should discuss this with your doctor, i think it's a serious question that you have. Sometimes doctors prescribe drugs for specific problems, not looking at the big picture. Maybe one of your meds is causing nausea, and you could take a different drug that won't, and then not need one for nausea (just an example).. But we probably aren't going to be able to help you with that, the doctor needs to take a very close look at your chart, and work with you on doses and types of Rxs he/she gives you.

It may not be so normal but it could always be worse so I would look at it from that view point to make myself feel better , I actually take 22 a day , the same as your age , I don't know which is worse my medical problems or all the combined side effects.

it seems like a lot for any age.
What if you werent taking them? What would happen?
Instead of taking sleeping pills, why not take walks in the evenings and read before bed.
Instead of PMS pills, why not use a hot water bottle, or take warm baths, or just Ibprofen.
Instead of nausea pills, use cola syrup.
Doing some of these things might make you feel better and may take away your depression.
and there goes those pills.
Since i dont know you, i cant tell you to make these desicions, but i can tell you, that Pills wont make your life better or easier, and there are ways around them.

Ya think those meds may be causing some problems? Of course, listen to your doctor, but maybe get a 2nd opinion as well.

mm. thyroid imbalance (caused by nodules...) can make pms worse and cause depression.
depression can make sleeping harder.
dont worry bout it. once youve got your thyroid sorted, im sure some of your other probs will sort themselves out too :)
if it makes you feel any better im on multiple asthma drugs, migraine drugs, pms and hayfever drugs. it adds up to about
7. :S so either we're both fine, or both messed up lol.

No, it's not normal. It sounds like perhaps you are over medicated. Are all your doctors on the same page? Do they all know what the others are prescribing?

Too much medication.
o·ver·med·i·cate (Å'vÉr-mÄd'Ä-kÄt')
To medicate (a patient) excessively.
It's really should between you and your doctor(s) about what medications you take, but I would switch doctor(s).
