There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

Dark circles under the eyes are known to be signs of stress, lack of sleep, fatigue, malnutrition, allergies etc. They can have an enormous effect on your appearance. Luckily you can easily make them disappear naturally or by applying some some ingredients or products to the affected area.

The easiest and healthiest ways to remove dark circles would be by getting plenty of sleep, rest, increasing your water intake at least 8 glasses of water a day & last but not least eating well.

Sometimes applying natural products like cooled tea bags & sliced cucumbers can help reduced the puffiness

A beauty expert on a show I saw a couple months ago said the darkness is caused by toxins, and that putting cold slices of raw potatoes on them will actually draw out the bad stuff. I don't have dark circles, so I can't say from personal experience if it works, but it couldn't hurt to try it before spending money on expensive creams or makeup. Good luck! :)

Dark circles are caused by stress and lack of sleep. One of the best ways to get rid of it is to just relax for a day.

The link below will answer ALL of your questions about dark circles, but if you don't feel like reading it I will summarize it for you!

Dark circles are caused by several different things, to name a few: sleeplessness, genetic, smoking/drinking, etc.

How to reduce them: apply creams with vitamin E & C to the area, drink lots of water, and apply a cool compress like a used tea bag to the area, etc.

But, the article below is much more in depth, I recommend reading it.... GOod Luck!!! :)

Blood vessels that are closer to the top layer of skin...The delecate skin of the eye. Not exactly sure what causes them, I get them pretty bad sometimes... What works for me is drinking plenty of water, and getting plenty of rest. Using an eye moisturer, I like to put mine in the fridge and dab a bit on... I also bought a gel eye mask to put in the freezer I like to use it when I have a headache too... If you need a quick fix..dip two spoons in water and place in freezer for 15-20 min and place on your eyes... Good luck hope it helps

It can also be hereditary. If you have a thin layer of skin around that area, then the eye muscle can show through, and nothing you do will get rid of it.
