I lost 70 lbs and have kept it off for three years. Here is what I did: #1 Don't be in a hurry. This will take time. 1 lb a week is 52 lbs in a year. #2 Keep carbs at a minimum of 45 per meal and eat lots of chicken and fresh veggies. #3 Walk. I walked between a half hour to an hour a day. If you are young and not a smoker exercise more, but at the very least a half hour a day. Diets don't work, a change in lifestyle always does.

Generally, yes, you can, although this will result in you doing an extremely unhealthy thing for yourself. Your body will likely go into starvation mode and your metabolism will drop, this will result in some severe changes in body composition, both muscle and fat loss. One you begin eating again, you will likely gain all the weight back and then some since your metabolism is at such a low level. So in the end, this 500 calorie diet could cause you to actually GAIN weight. I've lost more than 60 pounds successfully by changing the TYPES of foods I eat and slightly reducing the number of calories. This is a MUCH better way to lose weight. If you want to lose weight, don't do a diet where you cut your calories to 500 calories, it's counter productive because of it's effects on your metabolism.

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
no - nobody really does that because there are so many of them. some people write reviews so you can just look up on yahoo.

Where other things are sooo expensive you give up... It even taste wonderful I personally like Cran-Grape one it taste just like grape soda with no harmful things in it. The vit B-12 in it is 4900% which if you remember in the old days was how woman lost all their weight with a B-12 shot daily.... Ok I wish you luck and hope you do great

If you can afford it,I recommend getting a gym membership. The bigger and recognized ones have qualified personal trainers and dietitians. They are really good at making routines and diets that suit your needs.
Actually, I the trainer I got for my membership was still in training, so he could only provide me a general training scheme written up by a certified trainer and walked me through. That was enough for me, but then again I played sports in high school. You might need so more guidance depending on your motiviation and knowledge.

F diets, just permanently eat better, watch calories, and exercise daily, while making sure you have enough vitamins, protein, and minerals, ect a day.
80 pounds is a lot. That may take well over a year to lose, but in the end it's worth it.

Diet and exercise is your only way to lose the weight and KEEP it off.
Your best bet would be find a gym with a dietician on staff and let them set you up with a program and trainer to get you started.
Good Luck
