What some have put very bluntly is essentially true. Our countries attempt to fight using a set of rules that have been agreed to by civilized nations. We do not video tape executions of prisoners of war for the world to see. We do not use children in suicide bombs. We do not target civilians in our military operations. The list of "we do nots" could continue for more time than I have for a response. To answer your question... If the tables were reverse, yes would fight back, but we would not choose that tactics that have been used in Iraq. We certainly would not kidnap our own or blow up our own. The logic used by terrorists is flawed, but as we are learning you can not deal rationally with irrational people. Anyone that thinks that the tactics used by terrorists are rational are very mistaken. I believe they will have some explaining to do in the next life no matter what God they meet.

When are people going to realize that the insurgents in Iraq do not have the same respect for life as most of the world does. I am pretty sure that most Americans would defend our country if we were attacked at home- but I am sure that we would NOT have our women and children strapped with bombs!!!!
If you don't stand behind our troops here, go stand in front of one in Iraq!

I wouldn't support any cause i didn't believe in. i seriously don't agree with how the middle east disaster is being handled= i personally advocate solving problems with rock-paper-scissors- faster, cheaper, hard to play dirty, and not destructive. terrorists are generally heroes in their home society. but not all societies think suicide is heroic. the crap taking place now is all ridiculous posturing, being handled by people with personal interests. everybody is wrong and everybody is right in their own opinion.
bottom line= the middle east needs to chill out- big time. the us needs to focus on it's own problems.

Actually, against an army in a stand up fight, they lose. All they have is AK-47s and RPGs. There's no way to defeat an army using such weapons.
However, they're really good at shooting up unarmed civilian populations.

No, not really. They attack, run and hide, act like little girls, they really don't know how to fight. If they were real men(which they aren't), I think they are actually transexuals, they would fight like it. But alas, you and your little girls continue to hide.
