I'm not sure if you need to clean your bowels before you start your diet either. I'm also a believer in the healthy diet-plenty of exercise approach, even if I don't follow it very well myself. Having said that, you might find Carol Vorderman's approach interesting. It's detox and diet all rolled into one. I did it a few years ago, and always mean to get back to it. There are some links below. Good luck whatever you do.

Ooooh! Get a colonic! They're WONDERFUL!
Otherwise, every morning, drink a cup of hot water (well not boiling hot...but like, as you would with a tea or whatever..) so water, with lemon squeezed into it! It gets rid of all the mucus and stuff in your bowels that builds up

Oatmeal, Fiber, Fruits and Veggies. Beans. Brown Rice. 100% Whole Wheat Breads. Water. You don't need a supplement. You just need to follow the food pyrmid.

It's good to do anyway. A lot of gunk gets caught up in our colon over the years. Eating oatmeal can certainly help. Grapes get me going to as well as dried fruit.

anything high in fiber will help you with that. popcorn is a great food full of fiber (just make sure you get the low fat kind). stay away from things like cheese since they to get stuck in the folds while you digest. also water and cranberry juice are great for cleaning you out

if you start drinking your 8 glasses of water a day within 2 weeks your system should clean itself out. eat smaller portions and exercise this should kick start your diet off right.

Thas a bunch of crap. You clean your bowels then it just comes back a couple hours later. Just eat veggies, meat, water and work out

WATER! 6-8 glasses a day. You'll feel much better. Too much coffee & alcohol is bad. Try for a month and see:) Plus add fruit and fiber.
