Unique can be difficult with graduation presents as they may not always want unique!

How about a roomba to keep their dorm apartment clean?

A combination toaster oven, griddle and coffee maker.

One share in a stock.

A personalized laundry bag.

Hope this helps

Are they going to college? Then what I used to do was make an electrical basket. It was a wire mesh basket, and I filled it with adapters, an extension cord, a plug bar, a multiple adapter, and light bulbs. And then put nice ribbons on the basket.

My friends thought I was nuts, but told me later they didn't realize they'd need all that once they got to their dorm room! Total cost was about $25.

being a full citizen in that membership known as Adulthood
you might want to Consider "giving" him/her something only a free adult would buy for themselves. So for example if he/she has a car or gets one for graduation you give him/her a pair of tickets to a music concert or special event that is a city at least thirty miles from home.

If its graduation from highschool, my dad gave everyone mini tool boxes. They came in really handy in the college dorm. He put hammer, nails, screwdriver, band aids, etc.
