I started dating my boyfriend about 1 month ago. He has been divorced for 5 years and has two kids with his ex.... The thing that I wondering about is that he talks to his ex quite often, she calls him and he calls her just to talk about every day stuff... I mean it's great that they have a good relationship, but I feel like our relationship is all about his ex.. Since he talks about her quite frequently and stuff.... Is this wrong or am I just reading to much into it?

You may be reading too much into it, but you have to remember, they will always have a bond because of the kids. If they split up on friendly terms, they will probably have more contact than other couples. When you get involved with someone with kids, you come 2nd, hopefully, in their life. If they are talking about the kids when they speak, I wouldn't worry. If they are talking everyday just to chat, that is not normal. You may want to reconsider the relationship if you are not comfortable with the arrangement.

First, It is ok for them to be friends because they do have kids together and they were married for 5 years but, they shouldn't be friends to the point where that is all he talks about! If he is contiunesly talking about her and always wanting to talk to her then he still loves her and even though it will hurt you ahould let him go!

I broke up with my ex-girlfriend twelve years ago, and I am still not over it. She made me so mad. I don't really talk about her though to anyone. I guess time heals all scars.

All that matters is....Is this how you would want to live if you married this guy? He's most likely not going to change. You just need to decide if this is something you can live with.....or move on. That's what dating is for......to determine if that person is right for you. :)
