It's either this or MySpace all day.
At least they give me tote bags here.

Let people believe whatever religion they want as long as it does not hurt you in any way.
People like to force things on others. That's how arguments lead to wars and wars to genocide.
To each their own.
Why does one religion have a need to convert everything in sight? This kind of pressuring is the reason the world is so screwed up. If someone told you to jump off a cliff for the betterment of mankind, would you?
Live your own life and those with your close ones in happiness and leave others to their own happiness. How many alcoholics, gamblers, criminal people are out in the world living their lives? If people could concentrate more on "helping" or "converting" them then that would be more meaningful.

There is no point in trying to reason with such people as my oldest sister, but I can reply to her when she insults me, and I have the right to express my opinions whether she likes it or not. She gives some church $50 a month. If she became wiser about it, she could spend that money where it does much more good than helping to buy some preacher a Cadillac and a Rolex, items that parvenus love. The problem is that such people won't leave me in peace.

I'm not interested in making anyone doubt his/her religion, but I do think that it's very important not to let false assertions about atheists stand. As long as I see questions that make them, I'll continue coming here to set the record straight.

We can't. The political situation is such that it isn't possible not to respond to the crap that they put out..
And I know of a few converts from this very site. There are probably a lot more.

I also try to dispel any incorrect assumptions people have about atheists (like we're all angry). I will also correct people when they use faulty logic or reasoning in an argument.

People can dedicate themselves to an ideology, such as their religion and my beliefs can differ. As long as they respect my beliefs, I respect theirs. Don't give all us other Atheists a bad name by speaking for us, and insulting us? We have the right to believe in what we want to believe, end of story.

I'd love to leave everyone in peace with whatever they believe. Now if you could get them to return the favor, all would be well.

They can have their deluded happiness as long as they don't share it with me... plus I am not trying to reason... I am just being myself...

If there was a god he would have shown himself to us, or atleast proved he existed. Especially in this day in age when less and less people turn to religion.
Right now he has the same credibility as the Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot.
