Went to Italy 2 years ago and had Salami and Mushroom. The best. Been eating that ever since.

the rather boring but unbeatable ham mushroom and cheese.
If I am making my own i like a smoked ham and perhaps pastrami on the first layer, then mushrooms and then cheese. Monterey jack is lovely but mozzarella is great too.
Something lightly spicy as the top layer is good, like a salami or garlic sausage.
Don't forget the Italian herbs! Schwarz used to make this delicious Italian herb mixture but they seem to have stopped making them...

If cheese is a given, then i could might desire to declare Mushrooms..........any style, i think of they pass with each and every thing, from entire vegetarian to proteins and vegetables and for sure, cheese. regardless of i think like once I make pizza (or in crunch time, order it) my Pizza continuously has to have mushrooms. relaxing question, thank you!
