Jesus has blessed my life so much 'down here' that I would still serve Him even if there was not a heaven to go to.

do you know, i can't offer you proof of an after life. I believe in it though. That's what faith is. What i can tell you is, since i have become a christian i am a more happier fulfilled person. people have seen the change in me, and they can't explain it, the changes have been dramatic enough for my total atheist husband to look in to things further and he too became a christian. Our lives have been transformed, how can just believing in God do that? I can't explain it. It must be a supernatural event! Like I said, I do believe in life eternal in Heaven, with a loving father, but even if it did'nt exsist, I'm just thankful for the fact i finally have a life worth living now, here on earth. I feel fully alive for the first time, and I know my husband feels the same. We were really struggling before. We still have the same things going on now, but we have peace. I really wish you could experience what we have, it's just needs you to look in the right places. Why not try church on Sunday. Go put the Vicar on the spot, test his knowledge, but go and look and really see what else is going on in a church. See people just like you and me, all in search of answers to the same questions. But see the life changing power of your God working around you. I don't know if you know it, but you are so special to God and he loves you. Remember he hung on a cross to save you.

The reason you ask this ? is bc you haven't experienced Gods power in your life nor the Holy Spirit.
Once you do decide to accept Jesus as Lord your Savior, then you will feel His presence and be in the Light.
The Bible says
1Corinthians 1:18
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are (spiritually)perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
John 1:5
5 And the light(Jesus) shines in the darkness, and the darkness(man's spiritual darkness) did not comprehend[a] it.

Jeremiah 29:11-13
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with ALL your heart.

I'll tell you, I wish I knew the Lord when I was younger, I would have saved myself alot of grief w/ wrong choices I made bc I was in spiritual darkness.
John 10:10
The thief(satan) comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
The choice is yours.

Yes it would, but having met Jesus I'm pretty sure it's ok. Besides, if there's nothing, we have lost nothing and have lived a great life, with hope. I would rather live by faith and be wrong than live without it and be wrong. I can't imagine how maddening it would be to come face to face with Jesus and realise you chose not to believe.

No it wouldnt be disapointing because the dead are simply dead as noted in Gen 3:19 where it says "For dust you are and TO DUST you will return."and as Eccl. 9:10 tells us to do all we can now while we are alive because "there is no work nor divising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ( the grave) the place to which you are going." So No you can't be disapointed! So what is the conditions of the dead?...eccl. 9:5 they are"conscious of NOTHING at all." and Ps. 146:4 "his thoughts do perish." ( at death) and John 11:11-14 when Lazarus died Jesus said he was going there to awaken him......so it is simular to being asleep! And according to Ezek. 18:4 no a part of us does not live on after we die because "the soul that is sinning - it itself will die." and Isa. 53:12...........My hope is according to John 5: 28,29...a resurrection at Gods appointed time!

That would be hard. If there is nothing then I wouldn't have time. But taking the hypothetical that the question was meant to have, no I wouldn't be. I am living my life on a theory of the afterlife. That doesn't make it fact. Its just what I believe. I think my first thought would be "Damn my husband was right. He is never going to let me live this down."

No, because I believe this is something that won't happen, Jesus is alive, I know it, and I feel it everyday.
And your question is based around the word 'if'.
'What IF you die and you realise that Jesus is truth?'
or
'What, when you die, you know Jesus is truth?'

If there were nothing then it wouldn't matter would it? If it were true though wouldn't it be funny to see the look of shock on the faces of all the people who ridiculed religion.
