My boyfriend and I are constantly fighting ....we love each other but we are so different and that in itself isnt a problem but our differences keep hurting each other.......i know he tries so hard to make things work but i still feel disappointed by the things he say and do- and then it shows and i tell him abt it and he then get hurt and its a vicious cycle ...he is a good guy but he is used to only caring for himself even when he was married he only cared for himself (she cheated on him and he couldnt understand why and sad but true i think she cheated on him just to end the relationship) i would never cheat on him but the arguing is quite taxing-he's 13 years older than i am but in so many ways im so much more mature.and when we discuss something his response to me having an issue is to bring up one of his own and so we never discuss anything -he used to be so nice but now he's different not mean but no longer nice and he criticises me ...could something like this ever work

If you can't find a way to work out your differences, then maybe you should think about leaving before you hurt each other even more.

Maybe just tell him all this and ask him why he's like this and if he can change. He that is who he is and he won't change maybe it's not worth the hassle and heartbreak.
