Do the Planets really have influence on Human Beings ? Or is it just a myth?

These people have perhaps not heard of Vedic Astrology.

Vedic Astrology is a logical para-science..and it has a scientific base.

Without any telescope etc our vedic rishes predicted the exact time of solar/lunar eclipse.. even today they do it.

When we take this birth, it is due a set of past life karmas..which we have to undergo in this birth.

The planetary position is nothing but an indication of nature, as to what our Karma were in last birth...planets as such dont do any thing. This is shorthand of mother nature and astrologer decipher it.

The major things like Job, marriage, children and death are fixed and NO God can change it.

Other smaller things can be changed with good karmas in this birth

The current astrology signs are over 1000 years old, they are the same ones used by Ptolomy-they are constantly in drift. This means that they are all incorrect, and that there are 13 instead of 12. The planets are rarely actually at the points astrologers say theyre at because of this drift. Therefore, if it were utter bunk, all the readings would be off anyway.

Influence on human beings from outside forces depends largely on the strength they have within them , ie. their mental and spiritual strength. If the inside is weak ,it does not need planets to influence us, our next door neighbour can change our life. We need to think for ourselves in order to determine our destinies.
Sure, there are various forces outside us, both good and bad .But they become worse and more influential if we are afraid of them or depend on them even for our good.
I once very much believed in astrology but as the years progressed I found that much of the suffering I underwent was because I did not pay much attention to the Almighty ; not because at yonder space some planets were busy drawing up the chart of my life which only my karma can decide.

Yes. The gravitational pull exerted by celestial objects effect all things on earth including humans. When the moon is full the sun and moon are on opposite sides of the earth and this causes large fluctuations in the gravity pull on the earth. This is what causes high and low tides. In some places the ocean can rise and fall 50 or 60 feet. Our brains are very sensitive organic chemical computers and are easily effected by changes in the environment in this case the large gravitational pulls. Due to particular planetary motions and inherent propensity of a humanbeing, they absorb the radiations/vibes through the body pores and reach the brain which gives a subsequent effect.

You're the only one around here trying to devalue human life, with a statement like that. Laws are to prevent people from infringing on other people's happiness and personal space. Mourning for loved ones is natural; we know that we'll never see them again, and that is an incredibly sad thought. I see no purpose to life, but simply because life is "empty and meaningless" doesn't take the beauty of it away. Life is an awesome experience. If a person wants to live life for pleasure, than that is their prerogative; there is no law that states we have to care for other people. However, most people love the people around them, and want the best for their friends and loved ones, as a condition of their own pleasure and happiness. I do look forward to a better future, knowing that we can only progress, and discover more fascinating and useful things. There is a fundamental difference between "meaning" and "value." Life doesn't have an inherent meaning, but it still has inherent value. Life is important simply because it's life.
