Then you should sit back and reflect, what was it all those year that had kept you faithful? What was it all those years that touched your mind, heart and soul? Were you blessed? If the benefits and blessings were real and true... then you have to decide, whether an opinion from outside is the truth or the experience you found within is.

If your faith in the begining was from being "born into" a family with this faith, then you should see if your knowledge and understanding of that faith is thorough or just surface. Or is it Intellectual rather than Experiantial... But since you said "choose" then, you should reflect on your main motivation for adopting that faith...

If you adopted that faith, out of despair during bad times, then you should check if your intentions were truly devotional or purely material or both..... because Religion is not meant for us to pray and get a Ferrari... it is about our inner self/ soul./atman and that part of us finding Peace and Happiness

And if even after a lot of reflection, you find that your previous faith is not for you... and it makes you unhappy... then change. In fact, you don't need religion to be a good person. You dont need religion to be a happy person... But you MAY need religion if you decide you want to be a Spiritually evolving person, as religion in all its forms starts you on the path... but the end result, still remains in your own hands.

I suppose you mean what WOULD I do IF, since there's no reason to assume it will happen as you suggest.

I don't think it would happen that way. I would not necessarily find it "wrong," in the sense of untrue, as decide that it no longer fits me. Or I no longer fit it. But more likely would be if I found one that I fit into better than the one I am currently practicing. In that case, I would go with the new one, but keep the old symbols and books and so on as part of my collection.

But you see, my religion, generally designated Wicca more out of convenience than anything, is quite inclusive. So, for example, I might take a notion to start going to a Hindu temple because one was built near my home and I found it interesting, without having to give up anything. Or perhaps I'd take up a romantic relationship with a Buddhist or a Jew, and start going to services or even "convert" in some sense, mostly out of respect for the man.

Notice I do not include Christian or Muslim in my possible love affairs. I truly cannot imagine a conversion that different from what I believe today.

I'm not sure that any religion is wrong. it is what you believe and how you interpret things. your faith in the Almighty powers is what is important, however you decide to live your life is your choice. if you are attending a church or worship place that you don't agree with - then attend other ones till you find a place that shares your views. we are not on this earth to judge anyone. we're not here to say who is right and who is wrong. you need to find what you believe in. live your life according to your beliefs. everyone here is their own individual person and will be treated as such when the day comes. you'll have to answer for your own actions... so find what makes you happy. you can sit in a church of your beliefs and read the same exact words, but interpret things differently than someone else in the church... there is nothing wrong with that. if you disagree with a lot of things there - then you're not in the place you are meant to be. doesn't mean that the religion is wrong - just maybe not the right one for you.

We sought "actuality" and fully dissected it. It seems that the explanation why you detect actuality in case you seek for it frustrating adequate is that the strategies desperately needs a which ability to a minimum of one's own existence and, in case you do some thing silly, it is going to artwork frustrating to justify one's own strikes as precise. hence, cults have all varieties of hazing rituals to brainwash human beings to their reason. some church homes are not plenty distinctive regrettably, even with the certainty that the hazing technique could properly be much greater diffused. Gotta have that onerous artwork to get to faith although someway, do no longer cha? So human beings do no longer desire to handle information and danger. seem at how many say, "I hate math!" Do you somewhat think of that ninety% of the country is ever going to get it? No! and a few would be "confident" that they are precise and anybody else is incorrect. it is not an argument even worth having. it is a waste of time. they're going to by no ability study. they're too stupid. meanwhile, do you already know that having particularly some human beings have bounce on one bandwagon or yet another does not definitely make for a magnificent assessment of certainty? perhaps in elementary terms one guy or woman follows the "authentic" reigion interior the comprehensive international. or according to possibility billions. or according to possibility it is not suitable. We in simple terms desire that if there's a God that he's no longer too rattling picky. a number of those variations of God accessible could properly be actual bastards.

I would change. Although I was born and raised Catholic, I often find myself in philosophical differences with the church. I stop going for a while and then come back. For example, I was horrified by the Boston Archdiocese's position with child abuse. Once Rome made a concerted attempt to correct the problem, I returned because I have been taught that only God has the right to make the final judgment against people. There are many churches and faiths for you to examine. I think if you are dissatisfied with one, it is your right to change.

I believe many people are going to find this out very soon and to some it will be devastating...to others it will be exhilerating. Some will not care. All need to study for themselves and not take the preacher's word for it. I think that a lot of churches have some errors....and all have room to grow.

Are any of them right or are they the imagination of the human mind to control the masses.

If you believe in religion then you could also believe in communism.

Isn't that what Jesus spoke of the common fund to share.

Then there is the other religion, that is you don't share you just take for yourself.

I think the word you're looking for is religion. And sometimes it happens that someone has an epiphany and realizes they have been following a path that is wrong for them. Usually they attempt to find the right path and begin following it.

I guess we'll only really know at death...right?

I would not be bothered by it. Especially after death. I am not in religion to be right. I'm in religion to get closer to God. If my assumptions were wrong about that, I would still want to be close to God.

How would I find out? Suddenly married to cousin or we are all wearing nikes and waiting for a UFO behind a comet or have a glass of Kool-aid thrust into my face?
