hi, i have a 2000 corolla with passenger windows that work going down, but when i put them back up, they go up like and inch and stop, i have to wait like 30 minutes then i try to put it up again and it goes up another inch, i have to let people in the back know not to open the windows b/c of the issue. Any ideas? Thanks.

Sounds like the power window motor is going bad--had the same thing on my brother's 96 Z28. Have a repair shop fix it with a new motor---dangerous to do it yourself unless you know what you're doing. Call a few repair shops or a dealer for a quote.

I have a 2000 corolla too. And my right rear window does the same thing, but it will do it going down too. I was told its the motor as well. I dunno, a Corolla is a good car, but its riddled with cosmetic and minor mechanical problems.

bad motor or bad switches, use the driver switch and the passenger switch too if both do same thing is the motor
replace the motor is an easy thing to do if you have some tools and a bit of mechanic ability
