Well, a soul is something that doesn't really exist, whereas a spirit is something imaginary. Hope that clarifies the difference for you.

Soul in the Bible denotes a living person complete with body and spirit.
Spirit in the original language means breath, something God breathed into man's nostrils.
Spirit also can mean an attitude, like a bad spirit--getting out of bed on the wrong side.
There is no evidence to show that a body can live without the breath (spirit), or that the spirit can think apart from a operational brain and neurological system.
The Bible speaks of God recreating us again (from the elements of the earth) and the bones in the grave will grow new tendons and muscles. God will put life in it again.
P.S.: there has never been anyone tell about heaven or an out-of-body-experience who was confirmed dead by EEG. And many of the hospital deaths are confirmed that way when they want to take a patient off life support so the body can die (decay).
Life after death is discussed some in a publication that reveals a secret "key" to break a last-day Bible code. Read all five chapters in their proper order at http://abiblecode.tripod.com

No difference. 2 words with the same meaning, tho not well or accurately defined in either case so it gets confusing.
These words basically mean YOU.
You are your own immortal soul.... or spirit.

Levels of spirit include the power of cohesion as we see in minerals; the power of augmentation as we see in growth of plants encompasses the power of cohesion; the power of sense as we see in the animal encompasses the power of cohesion and augmentation; the all-embracing power as we see in humans encompasses the power of cohesion, augmentation, and sense; the power of the manifestation of God or holy spirit encompasses all created things; the most great spirit which encompasses all the manifestations of God and all they encompass; there are other levels of spirit, but none encompass God as God is the origin and genesis of it all.
