I'm a Christian, i go to church on sundays and try to read my bible. But i have a history of witchcraft. And i'm finding myself drawn to wicca again. I love the sights and the sounds and can't help be very interested in it. But i know that deep inside my soul, that it's wrong. I was a wiccan for about 6 years before i drifted away from it. I got married, and converted to Christianity. I love God, so i don't want any part of it. But i can't help myself. My husband says doing that doing those things is like spiritual pornography or infidelity. What should i do?

You listen to the yearnings of your Soul, the voice of your inner guidance, and you return to the Craft. You know it's another way of worship, another way to believe. There is no Hell, no judgment, no original sin. In Wicca, in Paganism, you are good, you are divine, you are Free. Why would you want to be Christian?

Did you convert because you got married? Or because Christianity seemed true to you?

I would do alot of praying about it. I don't know a lot about the Wiccan religion, but it seems to me that there are some good things about it, ie.- respecting nature, being good to your fellow man etc. The big problem with it, (from what I understand), is that there's no acknowledgement of God. I fear that so many people, (especially on here), focus on the negative aspects of the Christian religion, and make God an ominous presence, instead of a good, just, and loving God, who created all of the things which the Wiccans respect! If you can imagine that the evolution of the Christian faith by man, into this ominous dark, experience, as NOT being how it was intended to be, you can almost interpret it as being the things the Wiccans appreciate, but with God as the one to be praised, for all of the things they admire about "Mother Earth", spirituality, and eternal existance, and it should be a joyfull experience, not necessarily a somber one all the time!!
I'll pray for you!! Peace!

I am not wiccan but I am a hedgewitch. This is more a definition of my life than anything else. I love Nature and animals. I am interested in herbs for healing. I like to work with natural energy. I feel the Universal Energy of all things and see all things as God/dess. I came to this path from Christianity when I began to see that it wasn't answering my deeper questions. What I would say to you is that you must follow your soul's path. This is your life and your answers are out there if you look for them. Follow your heart but do nothing with fear. If you are convinced deep down that Christianity is the way you must go, then you must go with it. I wish you well in your searchings. Blessed Be.

religion isn't about trying to fit into someone else's set of beliefs, it's looking at your beliefs, and finding the religion that matches them, which ever religion that is.

maybe wicca isn't the right path for you, but some other pagan path is. if you practised as long as you say you did, then you know that wicca is not the same as witchcraft, and there are numerous other pagan paths that might be where your heart truly lies.

the problem is, you can't be going against your husband's beliefs. when you got married, you weren't practicing, and it wouldn't be fair to make your husband accept this new thing about you, especially when it goes against his own beliefs. so you have to weigh your options carefully. is it worth it to convert again and maybe lose your husband and hurt your children (if you have kids)? i don't know, maybe it is, maybe it isn't, but that's what you need to decide.

i wish you all the best, whichever path you choose.

Do you realize that dabbling with Witchcraft you are actually placing yourself in opposition to God,your interest will get you into trouble for it is a lure of Satan, that is one reason you feel drawn to it and feell like you can't help yourself, but you are putting yourself in grave danger from God's Enemy and your worst Enemy who only has bad intentions! Please don't allow yourself to be drawn into such grave dangeras long as you draw toward the devil you are on the opposite side to God, your husband is right doing those things is like infidelity and spiritual pornography and it makes you unfaithful to God the chief aim of Satan is to get you away from God. You really need to get away from it if you know what's good for you and by the look of it by what you say it's going to be a hard fight for you, so you need to get yourself prepared for it if you intend to win!I will tell you a secret what you describe here reminds me of my fight to give up my smoking addiction, while I was smoking I could not even imagine waking up in the morning and not having a cigarette or having one before going to rest, even at all, but I managed to get free from it because of the love of God,so can you, remember God is stronger than Satan, and you have to realise that you have to decide which side you want to be onSatan's or God's.BE VERY CAREFUL YOU ARE PLAYING WITH FIRE HERE!!!! AND YOU CAN HELP IT YOU JUST HAVE TO WASNT TO!!!!

Your not a bad christian. God knows that bad habits are hard to break and if you are truly repentent you will be forgiven. I would suggest that you get rid of you wiccan paraphenialia and stop hanging out with wiccans. Fill the void up with bible study groups and ministry to the church.

I'll keep you in my prayers.

In truth, witchcraft is not calling up white / dark spirits, but actually demon / fallen angels.

I know it might be hard for you to release your old pass, but remember witchcraft is not good. There is no such thing as white / good spirits, but spirits of the evil no matter what.

Sorry but that's the truth. The more your faith in God, the more temptation you will face. Devil tries to separate you from God again.

Azazel was the first wicca, he was fallen angel.

Forget religion. You can keep away from witchcraft for the sake of a good married life. people go to great lengths to make their married life happy, including sacrifices.Think this as one such input from your side to add happiness to your life.At some stage of your life you are going to realize that practices like witchcraft are really meaningless. Life is short.Enjoy it.

Repent often and try to do better. There is only one unforgivable sin -- and dabbling in wicca is not it. You don't have to be perfect, just forgiven.
