You're an addict! Not being able to sleep is a withdrawal symptom.

This happens to me when I go on a speed binge and then stop using for a few days. You make up for all the sleep you missed, or your body just crashes, then you make up for all the wakefulness you missed while crashing.
Also, you're probably suffering from withdrawals, which do just about everything except kill you, and they could even do that. Detox is a real *****, I know.
I suggest either switching to a less hardcore drug or using other drugs to keep your sleep pattern normal. Downers to get to sleep at a decent time, uppers to keep you awake all day.
I feel your pain, best wishes.

Drug withdrawal can do that especially to amphetamines. Your sleep cycle has been disturbed from the meth. The best thing you can do for yourself is to stay clean and slowly but surely adjust your life back to a healthy one. Good luck. The prior use just got you used to a different sleep (or not sleep) cycle. It will get better, and that;s a promise. As long as you stock to not using.

Wow, this is so familiar!!
Your body suffers when you do meth. You won't sleep for days on end then comes the crash and you sleep then the cycle should start again and your body is used to the cycle. Start and stop, start and stop.
There are few things I can suggest. Don't do meth anymore-take it from one who has been there!!

It is because of the drug resistance. It will take a period of time to recover. Actually, your situation is not bad at all. Most addicts face this for 7 to 12 days continuously so they need to take small quantity of meth to get through this. I guess you can completely get through this after probably 3 months.

the affect on the neurons and the chemicals in the brain from using ''meth'' are and can be permanently altered and damaged and you could endure a lifetime of what you are going thru right know. You need to NEVER EVER do ''meth'' again and hopefully your brain will return to ''normal'' As for the sleeplessness, you need to physically exert yourself till your very tired, this will help in the recovery and help you to fall asleep because you've worked your body hard.Good Luck!
