birdsflies: it still appears you are trying your very best to label me and other atheists immoral by associating us with Charles Manson and other killers & murderers...I think you have a sick mind.

As an agnostic, I absolutely agree with you. I live my life knowing that we have NO credible information about what comes after. If I die and find that there is a creator, cool. If I die and rot, so be it. This is the life I have now, and I hope I can use it to make people happy and comfortable and to be what I would want if I was the creator... kind, thoughtful, and compassionate. If this hypothetical creator doesn't respect that, then so be it.

I agree. As an atheist, I, too, find meaning in my life. Death is unpleasant but inevitable. So, I try not to worry about it much. Instead, I just try to live life well while I have it.

Theists think that because something is short lived, it is worthless. Personally, I enjoy ice cream cones, kisses, fireworks displays, the smile of an infant, a beautiful sunset, finding a parking space on a crowded street, flowers and many other things in my life that are even more ephemeral than me. I think theists waste life planning for when they're dead.

I understand what you meant, But as a Christian, Why can't you see what I meant, You say that you find meaning in your life, So did Charles Manson & any other killer, No, I am not comparing you to them, Just using them as an example, watching TV yesterday about these mass killers, They said they had fun in killing people, does that mean it is right, because they are living for today & not for tomorrow, Friend, Don't think I am trying to place you as a killer, I am not, in fact, I feel that you have a good heart, but how is your heart, I know, before I became a Christian, I too had a good heart, But since I became a Christian, I have even a better heart. And a Hope of tomorrow & after this life.-------------Scapegoat read again my answer, it seems like you atheists don't know how to read a simple answer. Show me where I try to compare you with a killer, in fact I said I am only using that as an example, & That I felt like you had a good heart, But now it seems that I step on your toes, & your heart has just change. Therefore scapegoat once again it seems like you are trying to speak evil of us Christians, Now if you can read, read my answer again, & show me where I say you were like Chales Mansion. Come on now all atheists, Show me where I said scapegoat was like Charles Mansion, You can't find it, yet scapegoat condems. Now scapegoat it was you that changed your heart from good to bad, not me.

I find meaning in this life. As a Christian, I believe God has a "mission" for me. But I am also concerned with the afterlife.

God's Warning to the World!

2 Peter 3:10 But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief. On that Day the heavens will disappear with a shrill noise, the heavenly bodies will burn up and be destroyed, and the earth with everything in it will vanish.

2 Peter 3:11 Since all these things will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people should you be? Your lives should be holy and dedicated to God.

Because this promise of what happens after Death is used to manipulate people.
Always has been!

I like how someone came in and gave everyone thumbs downs, but didn't find the energy to answer your question.

Sorry, I just felt the need to state that.

I have no problem with that as a Christian. Indeed find your meaning where you wish. It may be perhaps that we find our meaning in both.

I understand that is your wish, and that's OK. I also can look around and tell that there is a creator. If I live a Christian life and YOU are right, I have lost nothing. If you live an athiest life and I am right, what have you lost?
