edit: thanks for that answer. James D. Can you volunteer to be stationed overseas, or do you have to wait and ask to be shipped overseas? I want to go to either England/Germany (i was born in germany because my dad was in the ARMY)

you have a dream list when you join on the places you want to be stationed and you can put germany and england down weather they take notice of you have to wait and see. i know in the army you can re enlist for europe!! As for the money you owe talk to the recrutier and make a payment plan in place where you pay it off monthly as long as they see you are actively paying it off then there should not be a problem

if the monies you owe are in collections, you may have trouble getting in, and you definitely won't be able to get a Clearance.

If, on the other hand, you have a payment schedule, and you are not behind, it will not be an issue.

Just keep in mind it can be 6-8 weeks before you see your first paycheck, and any bonuses you may be entitled to will NOTbe paid out until either after Basic Training or even upon completetion of all your schooling, so don't plan on having access tohtat right away either.

You need to make payment arrangements at the very least. Yes, you don't have to give them he transcript, you just won't get an advanced rank. However, the $13,000 you owe is going to show up your credit check AND background check and that's going to sink you. If you make payment arrangements and show you are paying on it...you might still be able to enlist.
