When we are small(0-10 yrs of age) -100% bcos our we rely so much on them
When we are between(10-15)- 70% we just beginning to understand things
When we are 16,17,18,19-40% we dont care about what they say
When we are 20,21,22.... -20% bcos most of the time we have our significant other to look upto
Kidding...

Friend I dunno if thats an interesting answer but I know this our parents love us so much there is no relationship on this earth which as pure and as true as our parents love for us..
Nobody can love us like they do...To answer ur question they are mostly always right only our perception doesnt match with theirs.. We need to understand their point of view and assure them that their upbringing has been so good we cant go wrong and try to make the right choices if there is any disagreement then try explaining in the best possible way by not hurting them.. They love you respect them..

lovingeachday's response if pretty darned good.

Parents are not perfect but the good ones try to be. They are going on their own experience with their parents, the neighbors, their co-workers and the mistakes they've made that have managed to remain a secret.

They are trying as hard as they can to deal with all of the responsibilities of housing, money, education, protection, diet, vacations, illness and all of the different personalities and talents their children have. It's more difficult if a child has a long term medical or behavioral issue.

Meet them halfway since you are already aware of your own feelings about it. It's a two way street and your co-operation will be appreciated.

Keep an open line of communication with your parents and try to understand their point of view of the situation just like you want them to understand why you want to stay out late. Keep things open and honest and you shall experience a noticeable difference,

By the way, how often are you right? C'mon tell the truth.

I am right about 50% of the time, and the other 40% of the time I simply fudge it. The remaining 10% I tearfully admit to being wrong so that my daughters don't question the other 90%. We have a saying in our family, the one paying the bills is always right.

I've found out something interesting...how right they are is very much a function of your age. When I was in my mid teens, I thought my mom was completely out of touch on almost everything.

In my early 20's I found out that she was right more often than not (it was very annoying)

By the time I got to my 30's I realized that she was right about 80-90% of the time.

Now I get mad at her if she warns me to do (or not do)something because it's almost like a jinx if I don't take her advice.
