i have just had my second miscarriage last week. my 1st preg was fine and i now have a 6 year old daughter. I had a miscarriage in jan at 12 weeks and needed a d&c. i decided to wait a few months before trying again. We started tryin again in april and i concieved right away, unfortuantely i had a complete miscarriage last week at 6.5 weeks. Both my husband and i really would like another child but obviously i am really worried about this happening again. I have RH neg blood type and because of this and the 2 miscarraiges the hosphave offered to do screening tests to make sure everything is ok, but they have said it prob wont show anything and that i have just been extremely unlucky. Any advice please, has this happened to you.

hi
ive suffered 2 miscarriages and am also RH negative think it is just unlucky as hospitals dont usually do anything till after the third miscarriage so must be fairly common dont give up i have 2 beautiful children now not a nice experience to go through i know but you will only know if you have some kind of medical problem if you keep trying just make sure you leave enough time inbetween to let your body settle down good luck and i hope everything turns out well for you both. x

I had my first miscarriage when I was 16, I've had at least 4 since then where I knew for sure I had been pregnant and then lost the baby (all within the first trimester). Who knows how many of my late periods over the last 17 years were miscarriages. I'll be 34 in a couple weeks and my first baby is due August 6th. I didn't even take a pregnancy test until I was 14 weeks with this one because I was so convinced I wouldn't carry past the first trimester. Glad I was in denial as I would have probably been so stressed with worry if I had found out sooner.

The trick is to let nature take it's course. Keep yourself healthy to maximize your chances. As heartbreaking as it is to miscarry, know that your body really only wants a healthy baby so there was a reason for your loss. Most importantly, don't give up! You will have the children you are meant to have.

Hi I am so sorry to hear your news. I have also just had a second miscarriage last week. I was 7 weeks gone. My last one was last year when I was 11 weeks. I dont have any children as yet so obviously both myself and my partner have been devastated by this. I also have RH neg blood but have been told by the hospital that they wont do any tests at all until I have had 3 miscarriages. Could my blood type be affecting things, as you have been offered screening? Im sorry for your loss, I really feel for u, I was also told that I have just been really unlucky and 2 or 3 miscarriages is normal?

My first child was born by emergency C-section, and then I had three miscarriages. I'm so glad I had my darling girl, or I would have really despaired of ever having another! But, four and a half years later, I had another baby. So, don't give up. If the doctors say it's bad luck, it's bad luck and keep trying.

I think many women have a lot of miscarriages -- it just happens so early, no one caught it. But with improved medical care, ironically, they see more miscarriages that would have gone misdiagnosed.

I know miscarriages are hard, but it does work out many times. Try not to let it bother you. Talk to a support group if it's making you very depressed, though.

I had 2 miscarraiges before I got pregnant this time. The fact that you have already had a child, and the doctors just say that you have been unlucky is a very good sign. Between my sister and I were born my mother actually had 6 miscarriages, so it isn't unheard of for women to experience problems but still being fertile.

I'm sorry for your loss, and I pray that your healing goes well.

My wife had 2 miscarriages and a premature birth where our daughter died after 24 hours. But now we have 3 lovely kids. Miscarriage is much more common than we ever knew. No-one ever mentions it in those idyllic pregnancy books where everything goes to plan. It's hard. But you're not alone.

Take care and when you're ready, try again.

I have had 5 miscarriages. Anywhere from 9 weeks to 22 weeks along. My doctor said my cervix is to blame. Actually, he said more but I was too distraught to pay attention really. Good luck to you hun and keep trying!!!!!!!!

My wife had two, then had 2 live births.

I understand miscarriages are actually more common than people think.

Good luck!
