It's awkward with animals and most stuff ends up their mouth! It's not a bad scratch but it seems sore and a bit bloody

I think he caught the spot by chance, not that he was scratching so badly that it ended up bleeding ( he's had his flea/ tick presciption)

There is a product that I think works great. It's called Bag Balm. Its actually used for cows udders. It is almost a Vaseline based product and it has antibacterial properties in it. I use it on my dog whenever she has a scratch. It's thick so its hard for them to lick off and they don't like the taste. The bonus is that you can use it also for dry skin.
You can find it now in most grocery stores in the beauty and health section or farm feed stores.

while a dogs has diarrhea, their bowels get annoyed and that they can't supply up the diarrhea on their own lots of the time. here is what my vet recommends for my 3 Labradors while they have diarrhea: a million. No foodstuff for 2 nutrition. this gives you the bowels a large gamble to get better. The dogs won't starve, besides the reality that they are going to be hungry. this is usually a needed step to get their bowels to renounce being contaminated. 2. Rice on my own for 2 nutrition. 3. Rice blended with kibble, including greater kibble and much less rice each and every time for numerous days. 4. pass back to kibble. dogs each and every from time to time in basic terms get upset stomachs. It does not advise you may desire to alter their foodstuff, except they are getting upset stomachs lots. It does not advise that they have worms, distinctly in the journey that your dogs is an interior dogs and properly cared for. ETA: a poster under is genuine, and that i forgot, that when you pass to the vet, you may desire to plan to hold a stool pattern with you.

if you want to protect it from infection, a friend of mine recommended I use spray on plaster, like TCP (disinfectant) spray on plaster. It's almost like a sealant, and of course, you can't put a regular plaster on your dog but this does essentially the same thing while acting as a disinfectant. You can get it in all normal pharmacies and some supermarkets. The one problem I found was getting my dog to sit still and not run a mile upon smelling it!

Clean it with salt water.
I use diluted tree tea oil, it is a natural product and as long as it is diluted it will cause no harm. My vet suggested this as my dog (chocolate lab) is highly accident prone and usually has scrapes on him where he has charged head long into something and forgot to put on his brakes.

TCP solution should be OK (tastes nasty so they won't like licking it, and it won't harm them if some gets in their mouth).

Have a look on the instructions for what sort of dilution to use.
