No, I don't get physically cold when I'm depressed but it sounds like you're thinking along the right tracks. My depression is linked with amine intolerance (ie a specific food intolerance) but yours may have a different cause. It may well be iron or B12 deficiency if you are a vegetarian. (It's funny, really, because I had less depression when I was vegetarian, because meat is FULL of amines!)
I just searched and found this good article about depression, which also covers nutritional deficiencies. Good luck! I hope you're feeling better soon. xo

Probably you have asked this question in late midnight or early morning and it is cold there. So you are feeling cold. Depression does not have any connection with coldness. You may feel cold if you have some deficiency and not because of depression. If you think more and more about depression you get more and more depressed. Try to come out of it; it will be better. Due to depression there may be fluctuation of Blood Pressure only....

I've heard that depression is often accompanied by physical symptoms like soreness and fatigue. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that a "cold feeling" was related in some way to depression. I think you ought to make an appointment with your doctor or psychiatrist right away (and I'm not trying to be mean, I just think that people ought to talk to the professionals in their lives as soon as possible whenever there's a serious problem).

yes or when i am having and anxiety issue not even a full blown attack i will turn up the heat and cover up with a blanket. it is because your body is taking the blood away from your arms and legs and it is going else where. you can also feel feverish and get all sorts of aches and pains all over your body. it doesn't cause your depression as it is caused by your depression. i hope that this helps

There could be...I know it's common for people to get the chills when they're sleep deprived. It could be a hormone thing...perhaps we release similar hormones when we're sleep deprived as we do when we're depressed.

Depression can cause your heartbeat to slow down, thus slowing down the blood from flowing through your veins and distributing heat among your body.

Yes, I always get cold when I'm depressed or very anxious. I've always wondered why too.

Are you sleeping less? That could do it. If you're sleeping more that could do it too, if you spend most of your day with lots blankets on.

Some people's depression cause them to get angry and their temperature actually rises (along with their pulse rate and blood pressure).. I would guess that you seldom get angry at other people. Some people are angry or at least disappointed with themselves and those feelings also result in depression. Junk food, insecticides, and just plain overeating in these last 50 years have parallelled an increase in depression. -
When I suffer from depression, I go on a very strict diet: nothing but fruit and water for about 1 week. (Research "fasting" on the internet).
"While fasting you become more aware of your body process, your life and with everything you are doing. It becomes a period where you can evaluate all that you're doing more objectively, and you naturally have more time for contemplation because you aren't using time amassing, preparing, eating, eliminating and cleaning up all which is used to prepare food. You gain self-confidence in your ability to control your life process, to set a goal While fasting you become more aware of your body process, your life and with everything you are doing.
