If so how many? For some reason i never had one. Which is surprising, because i had terrible oral hygiene when i was younger. Why do some people get cavities and some dont?

it depends on if they really like to consume sugary food. One of my friends had bad oral health but he never get cavity instead he get plaque and calculus buildup around his gumline. He had gum disease instead of cavity

Yes, a lot through the years. I think it's hereditary too. My mom never had a cavity in her life and she's in her 50s, gets reg dental check-ups. My sis and brother have few. But my dad's side has a lot. Guess I got that. =)
