I look into the eyes of not LTs and other officers but bottom level military people.
And in their eyes, I see betrayal, in their eyes I see hopelessness, in their eyes I see sadness and anger. I blame myself for it personally, I should have done something so the scum in DC (Not just Bush, Dems too) would not betray them as they did. I failed them, I failed my friends, my family, and my neighbors.
It eats me inside when my friends and family tell me, "I got to go back to Iraq, their ain't any work here." I look into their eyes and it is burned into my soul and I am enraged at the injustice.
These people should be at home with their kids and should only be asked to put their lives on the line when their country is in need!
So ask questions, if it makes people feel uncomfortable, then ask them why they are uncomfortable, is their resolve so weak that questions destroy it? And if it is, then they KNOW they are spouting a crock.

You have every right to ask a question about something that is bothering you. Over look the negative feedback you receive and concentrate on the positive. There will always be someone out there who tries to put others down no matter what.
You are not alone as there are wifes and in some cases husbands in the same situation. Might I suggest that you ask your question again and address it to military wifes and family members, you might get the answers you are looking for. At least you'll be talking to those that are in the same situation as yours and should be able to relate better to your question(s).
I've always been told that if it doesn't directly touch a persons life then they don't care. If the person who insulted you has no one serving in the US armed forces or hasn't had a family member killed fighting in the armed forces then this person has no idea what you and your family are going through. This is no excuse for the person who insulted you, but at least you can see where I'm going with this.
Don't let this person stop you in asking your question(s) as its apparent that you need to ask. Try and concentrate on positive feedback.
Good luck and God bless you and your family.

Why are you asking this again? There's nothing wrong with asking a question if you are willing to listen to other peoples answers. If not, don't post it. I'm not sure if you were referring to me as someone who may have upset you earlier, but let me make it clear, I have been deployed, my spouse has been deployed twice and is going back a week before Christmas for his third tour. We have 3 young children to worry about, as well. There's always a concern of losing a loved one during any tour, however, why would anyone join the military if they truly did not want to serve their country? And how could you be affiliated with the military and not stand behind 'your Commander In Chief'? Wow...don't believe all the hype you hear. Do your own research on the man. If there was a better solution, I don't believe 9/11 would have played out the way it did. And remember, there is no such thing as 'free', it's an idealism that keeps us going!!!!

Hi Venus,
'Just-Gone' is correct. George W Bush did not fight for his country. His father pulled strings so that he played with aeroplanes in the National Guard at Home when his classmates were in Viet Nam.
What I find frightening is that some Bush supporter gave 'Just-gone' the thumbs down. Bush people are frightened of the truth.
I remember when Bush said that the war on terror was won. He lied. Your government is acting like a third world dictatorship in stating that they are at war. The enemy is just a little group of crazy guys. Do we really believe that a little guy with a beard was going to destroy JFK by setting light to the kerosene pipeline? I would have thought that the fuel system was protected from a crazy with a zippo!
This is an unusual situation. The US has not started an illegal war since the Spanish- American war. It is not nice to be on the side where so many people world wide hate you. It has also made life more dangerous for the ordinary guy overseas.
Don't worry, your husband is super safe in Germany.

One yes Bush was a soldier in a time of war and two he is also the president as well as commander in chief. As a soldier myself I know that the president is doing what is in the best interest of the country in the long term, I know you worry about your husband, but so has every other mother, wife, child, and sister, etc. to have a loved one leave them. You may hate me for saying it, but its a truth as a soldier, our lives are but one to give for our country of many. If i were to die my family would mourn me, yet im not dead, and im sure your husband is not dead alike, as a wife you must accept what you do not like, we are soldiers and in the end we know the risks and choose to take those risk, not only for our loved ones but for all those around that you know and dont know, which all americans everywhere.
Im sorry if someone hurt your feelings but you must realize the statements you make can and do bother those in the same situation as you are in.
Bush as President is soldier just like the generals he commands, he may not be a foot soldier on the ground, but he is a soldier and leader that im sure is saddened by every death, but also im sure that he will fight to give us what we need to win and protect our country.

answering a yahoo query does no less than 2 matters: one million. boosts the ego of the answerer (that could be why a few think entitled to pass judgement on others or placed them down for asking "dull questions") two. earns the answerer 2 facets i would not take any of it for my part, regardless that. i doubt any one right here might say the hurtful matters i have learn to any one's face, so appreciate who you are handling (insecure cowards hiding at the back of avatars), and cognizance on making definite you do not deal with others the identical method.

why? because they must not love someone as much as you love your husband ♥ & they probably never had to sit back and wonder if their spouse would ever come back. I know when my Bf was driving a big truck grave yard shift, I was worried every night, that he would crash from falling asleep, so i know how you feel ♥ I couldn't take it anymore, and asked him to quit, and luckily he was able to. But my hearts goes out to you & your family, & the best of luck to your husband ♥

Excuse me, Bush never served in a war? Bush never even finished his obligation in the National Guard!
I agree with you. You can have all the opinions you want, and tell the other clowns that they can't pick which amendments to the Constitution that they want to follow.
I think Bush should be a machine gunner on an unarmored Humvee in Baghdad for 3 tours!

I agree with you and personally think that Bush should be over there fighting with the military men...gaurantee it would git done. Plus isn't he our COMMANDER IN CHIEF? Commander is someone who fights with the men. I think you should get answers...and the rest of us would like some also. Guess we are going for another wag the dog.

If you're free to have an opinion, then why aren't we free to judge you? Why are you immune from criticism just because your husband is in the military?
