What you are saying here:
" I'm catholic and its my understanding that no matter you do God forgives you. "
That is not Roman Catholic Doctrine. Why are you a Roman Catholic if you don't believe what they told you to believe?
EDIT: Hell was a place made for the devil and his angels. People go there because they didn't believe God.

BELIEVERS........You are justified by your faith in Jesus (Romans 5:1 - 5 ), he died on the cross for you, he boar all of your sins: past, present and future, nailing the law to the cross (Colossians 2: 14). If that is not true then he died in vain. He was the sacrificial lamb, who boar all of are sins who believe, by his blood, he cleansed us. We are all sinners, you sin everyday, it is impossible not to sin (1 John 1: 8 - 10). There is none righteous, no not one ( Romans 3:10). GOD remembers your sins no more (Hebrews 10: 17). Now, do not think that you can do what ever you wish just because your sins are covered, no you can not (Romans 6: 1 - 3). By your faith and your obedience to GOD you are saved........
NOW FOR THE UNBELIEVERS, they are still under the law (10 commandments). Jesus full filled the law at the cross for thoses who believe but for the unbelievers, they must bring a unblemished lamb to the alter and sacrifice it every year to wipe away there sins. You know they don't, so without Jesus they will be judged after the rapture of the church and if they are not in the book of life, they will be cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20: 12). GOD is going to destroy most of the people on the planet (John 3: 16 - 18). www.mylord mysavior.com

Not everyone accepts God's forgiveness. For those who don't, there is Hell. Of course, there are plenty who say, "Oh yeah, I believe in God and asked for forgiveness" and yet they go out and live the same life they were living. That, I don't believe, is genuine salvation.
And no, it is not a marketing scheme.

when you say god forgives you for everything and anything you do, that is not necessarily correct because of the sin of 'SHIRK' Which means making partners with god, i mean to say idolatry.
Shirk is the worst sin you can make. Next to that adultery, then murder according to Islamic laws and the Prophet's (saw) teachings. The prophet hated killing (Harj) He only extremely reluctantly went to war against those who tried to destroy Islam.
The (kafirun) disbelievers tortured the Muslims in early mecca later some went to Abyssinia Now called Ethiopia, and some followed the prophet to Medina, and some stayed behind. they suffered the most. Anyway, God can forgive but to only those who really ask and beg for it, well, not beg but mean it.
ok.... right,.. that's sorted. next question?

God forgives those who genuinly seek forgiveness of their sin.
It is by grace we are saved through faith, not of works lest any man should boast, the Bible says.
The Bible tells us to repent, and believe the Gospel.
Repent means to turn away from sin, and live a life pleasing to God.
There are those who reject the Gospel and so they are not automatically forgiven.

You must understand what hell is in the first place. To be in Hell is to live without God's light!!!
It is not some place where bad souls are sent, it just means your soul will continue to exist without being in God's presence.
God does forgive all, so most people that end up in hell are just un-happy, and blame God for their lives, and when they die, their souls carry this grudge against Him.
So, just remember, God does love, but it is your life to live, and only you can accept it and love Him, or reject Him and put yourself in peril of everlasting existence with out HIM.
It is your choice.

Because you have to accept Jesus and His gift and not sin again because you are thank full and only the Grace of God can help you with that - forgiveness does not mean you can start again or just carry on to sin it means you are saved and blessed

Good point. I do beleive that God only forgives sin if you understand fully your wrongdoings and try to repair them. But those who repeat them are the ones sent to Hell, if you beleive in such a concept of Hell.

And just when did Herr Fuhrer asked for forgiveness? And where do you get the idea that everyone is forgiven when very few ask God for forgiveness?
