Being 14, you'll be going into high school soon. Get into theatre. It will make you come out of your box (shyness) and possible help you make connections in that field. Get into the plays and musicals there. Find a good studio and start taking dance classes. Do what you love, have fun, good luck, and never give up. Reach for the stars!
PS: for the lines, if you can't remember them except for in a song, make them into a song. Or write them over and over and over again. That's what I do.

First of all, you can't make it if you are shy. You need to come out of your shell, and be more agressive, and forward. You cannot be noticed if you are shy.
I would take dance lessons right away, and you may even consider singing lessons. Do you currently sing in the school choir? If so, perhaps the music teacher could guide you as well. There are many many helpful resources out there, you just need to go to the professional musicians first, and get their take on your weaknesses and strengths.
YOU CAN BE WHAT YOU WANT TO BE!!! Just need to commit to putting forth the effort, and work hard.
Good Luck, and keep making that beautiful music.

There's nothing wrong with good, healthy ambition. Go for it. Join a local musical theatre company and get experience on stage. That'll give u confidence. U'll probably have to start off in the chorus or something, but everyone's gotta start somewhere. Keep at it, and one day who knows? U've got plenty of time. Hope this helps, and good luck with your dream

Get yourself out there! You should definitely give yourself a break-- don't worry about your career yet, I did that my entire seventh grade year and regretted not having fun later! If you memorize lines a little at a time and pace yourself instead of procrastinating or such, you'll be fine for memorization. And don't be afraid to sing-- my one friend sings all of the time, and though it can get annoying at times, people respect you for your voice and it helps you to grow and develop. Good luck!
