First of all this "love thy neighbor" stuff is not a christian prerogative and neither is it a christian idea. Most ancient civilizations practiced it as good politics You scratch my back I scratch yours philosophy. Secondly if you read the bible careful you will discover that neighbor literally means the guy next door. The other neighbors such as neighboring tribes were to be exterminated. Christians labor under the fantasy that that the bible has invented these ideas whereas they have all existed long before the bible was conceived. Starting with Greek mythology and then throughout its long history the idea of Filoxenia was sacred and under the protection of Zeus. The Persians the Assyrians the Babylonians to name a few, all had similar ideas. This "feed you" or not argument is at best ludicrous and without substance. It never had anything to do with Christian versus non Christian

O course I'd feed you. I'd clothe you and give you a bed for the night too, if that's what you needed.

A church going neighbour once knocked on my door and said she had nothing to feed her four children with that night. At the time I had five. I gave her a pie and plenty of vegetables, a loaf of bread, milk and breakfast cereal.
The following Sunday, she was in church telling everyone that I wouldn't give her any money. People even stopped me in the street and told me that I was mean, but it was to be expected because I am an Atheist.
Another time, another place and a different neighbour asked me for money so her kids could go on a school outing. She was short that week after putting her money on the collection plate. I had a brick through my window after I told her to go to church and ask for her money back!

I would feed anybody with a good heart, who is deserving of my charity and isn't looking for an easy way out of work, Christian, Athiest, Buddhist, etc.

Are you really so ignorant that you think only Christians feed hungry people? There are ethical people of all religions, and of no religion at all, who work every day to feed, clothe, and shelter those who are in need.

Shame on you for your narrow attitude - it's the kind of attitude that drives wedges between people, and it's very UN-Christian, not to mention un-Godly!

I would feed you regardless of your religious beliefs because I know that God has lost the ability to produce manna.

I want to end all suffering and death of sentient beings. Of course I would feed you if you were hungry.

Of course. Just because we don't have the same religious beliefs, that doesn't mean I wouldn't help you. You belive what you want and let me believe what I want, and we help each other out when we need it.

Sure. Your religious identity has nothing to do
with my decision to feed you.

Sure. And you'd know for fact that I wouldn't be doing so out of motivation by dogma or fear of going to hell.
