I think it would not be the right way to read from beginning to end based on this very reason. I would advise to first start with the new testament. Remember the Bible is not one book but a compilation of many.
The few books after Genesis and Exodus are pretty complicated ... and you really do not need to know them unless you want to know everything about what the Jewish people were told to do by God. The book of Leviticus through Deuteronomy are laws given to Israel by Moses, the prophet previously spoken of in Exodus.
I think it would not be the right way to read from beginning to end based on this very reason. I would advise to first start with the new testament. Or you could begin at Joshua instead of reading all of those laws that do not pertain to you. Although all of them are for the best health mostly used to preserve healthy living for the Jewish population.
I personally would start with a gospel. John is a spectacular book, Matthew is another good one. . . But all of them are important I would say. Jesus is the most important teacher and the Son of God. He shows love in abundance.
Then move to Ecclesiastes of the Old Testament.
I would then advise to read the histories, and the books of the prophets, such as Isaiah. These were written much further back and verify what was written in the New Testament.
After reading the Bible continue on to the Nag Hammadi, an extention written at approximately the same time. It contains the Gospels and books not accepted by the Catholic church...But very real. They were only disregarded because it could harm the churches power hunger and manipulation of the people to know the whole story.
You could keep a checklist to keep track of your progress if you would like to read all or most of the books. Notation and footnotes will help you to remember.
Read what you are guided by the Holy Spirit to do! Always call on the Spirit of the one true God to guide you in interpreting the Bible correctly.
Steer clear of religion as it was condemned by Jesus, the Son of God. He said to never form a church again that rules. Let your spiritual connection with God and sharing with others, praying with others, working wonders, and praising God be your group of commune if you seek one. Everyone is equal with these non religious groups that are in fact children and faith of Christ.
Above all read what inspires you!

Some people don't have the mind for certain things, I understand that. But if I were that person who was avoiding what I thought was boring, I would have to question my idea of being a living sacrifice. How do I know that the parts that I consider 'boring' doesn't have something in it to teach me something I didn't know? And then there are the numbers of things-- all pointing to another way God communicates; bringing to light the communication that God provides through mysteries.
1 - The number of God
2- The number of adequate witness
3- The number of manifestation
4- The number of the world
5- The number of Grace.
6- The number of man
7- The number of Perfection and eternity
8- The number of new beginnings
9- The number of divine manifestation
10- The number of man's responsibility
These numbers tell about what God is communicating. You will see these numbers come up many times in the tabernacle, and they are coupled with the use of certain materials. You might actually learn something by reading them in that light!

We've seen many of your answers of which are hatemongering, degrading, racist, and now blasphemy. Your reputation does not fit well with your new claim that you are now reading the Bible.
To ask the public if you should skip the boring parts means you're not serious about reading the Bible at all. You're just running off at the mouth so to speak trying stir up contention. Until you change, you're nothing.

I can't find anything in the Bible that is not already outdated! The good in the Bible is not original, the bad and the ugly deserve to be flushed out!

;) Don't worry, I'm sure the pope finds those chapters boring. I would recommend skimming over them to familiarize yourself with the text, but the construction of the temple is not going to impact your eternal life. :)
