And we still talk a lot, like we talked when we were together but he won't get back together with me.. He actually might be going to jail tomorrow for awhile because he is dealing with some past stuff and the only way to clear his record is to go to court and see if he can get it cleared..and the only way that might happen is if he serves time.. Could it be that he might go to jail so he doesnt want to get together while he's there or he just doesn't want to commit!?

Rule No. 1: Guys who are facing jail time usually make bad boyfriends, husbands and fathers. Let him take care of this without worrying about you. If he wants you when this is cleared up AND he doesn't do anything else to face jail time, then you can think about your feelings for him. Until then, run away!

Probably. Some guys just want to deal with this stuff on their own. If he goes to jail---visit him when you can so he knows you care. When he gets out he may want to pick up where you left off.I personally know someone like that----he'd push those he loved most away cuz it hurt too much knowing he was going to jail and didn't want to worry about what they were doing while he was on the inside.Hang in there if you really care about him----he'll come around.

He may feel that it is unfair to you that you are in a relationship and he is going to be away for a while. Go on with your life. If you meet someone else, great, but if you don't, talk to him when he gets out and see where things go.

The best way to know is to ask. Assuming things one way or another can make you go nuts and if you assume wrong you might cause yourself heartache for nothing.

i suggest to look at what ended the relationship in the first place. if he messed up he might be scared of doing it again and hurting you. if you messed up he might be scared of getting hurt again. or it may just mean he just wants to be friends. talk to him. good luck!

chances are that he doesn't want to put you in that tough situation and make you wait while he's doing time. he's letting you go, and that's very respectable of him. good luck with everything. :)
