First, the only way you could protect my food is if you stop it from being sprayed with pesticides or fed contaminated products. You serve for tips you will get and I have never seen a a waiter/waitress put their life on the line to serve. It could be what you are serving that puts your life on the line, in which case I would find a job that serves better food so the customer is not likely to shoot you because of the crap your serving.

I thought most waiters were out of work actors and were the drama majors.
Sorry, but before I became the police I did a lot of other things, some in public service, some serving the public, some sitting behind a desk. All were boring compared to policing and none were as dangerous as the policing I was allowed to do

First of all patrol officers do put their lives on the line protecting the general public.
What exactly is your question???
What line of work are you in? cook, fast food, etc.
I don't know any police officers who took Drama 101 at any academy.
Sounds to me like you got into it with a law enforcement official.
