I just got a tredmill, I was wondering how many Calories or Miles I should do each day? I'm 17, a vegetarian and I weigh about 152. I want to weigh about 130 or 120.

You want to start slow, because many people get injuries by trying to do too much too fast in their eagerness to lost weight. I lost 60 pounds last year by dieting and exercising. I started with 30 minutes on a treadmill, keeping your heart rate between 70-80% of maximum. If you don't know how to calculate, you can google it. This is the best range for maximum fat burning. Try this for a few days and if you feel fine, begin adding more time slowly until you start feeling fatigued. Just be prepared for progress to go slow. It seems like I'm always on a treadmill next to the person who has it set at maximum speed, but I just try to focus on doing the best I can. Make sure you eat at least 1200 calories a day. Anything less and your body will perceive that as the onset of starvation and will slow down your metabolism.

none of the above - you have to do it for 30-50min 4-6 times a week - ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat. combine it with light weight training to tone up and not lose any muscle because cardio burns both - fat and muscle (more muscle=faster metabolism)
