Why in this age of equality do most women demand confident guys who need to approach them?

Why is there such a shortage of women who will take initiative?
Many women complain about a shortage of quality men yet make little effort to meet others. Some of the nicest guys tend to be a bit more on the shy side while the real douchebags tend to have plenty of confidence. And women complain??

All i ever see on this site is 'why do women do this' and 'why do women do that' blah blah blah

Some women do take initiative & some just prefer men to ask them out because before the 21st century that's just how things were done. In a society where women are constantly being judged and looked at it becomes much harder for them to be confident, whereas most men have no worries. So i suggest YOU stop complaining, stop being biased & get over it!

You have to learn to take what you want when you want it, thats why 'players' are so successful at the game, - they take what they want and dont give a damn and women love it, but you need to find a balance between the shy behavior and the outgoing agressive techniques.

''Natures way'' isnt a woman asking a man out, i dont care if its 2007, .she can approach but then he has to take the bull by the horns. There has to be some give and take.

Either way you put it , im totally open minded with this. I believe its ok for a man to approach a woman or a woman to approach a man. I also think nature favors the ''aggressive'' man. The man who takes what he wants when he sees it gets the fine woman.

Either extreme is bad. Too shy or too aggressive. i like to baby the guy, him to be a little vulnerable yet still be strong. I like both.

Ok, please do the women a huge favor and get off the "age of equality" kick. Not every woman is a card carrying member of NOW, burning bras and demanding EVERYTHING be equal and they get treated like they have the same appendage you do in the lower region.

You have to think about who raised the women who are of dating age now. Yes, look to their MOTHERS, they are who they learned their values, morals & what is considered correct etiquette when it comes to dating. When their MOTHERS were of dating age, it was NOT appropriate for them to approach men, it was NOT appropriate to pay for things, it was NOT appropriate to open doors yourself...etc....they taught their children what they knew. Hense why most women who are of dating age today still hold those beliefs.

The CHILDREN of the women today may very well be more apt to approach men and take initiative dating, since times are changing and women are becoming more independent. Until then, you need to still be the traditional man.

Because we're still women, borderline incapable of making first moves, not out of fear of rejection but because it makes us feel icky. I don't want to feel like a guy!! Yeah I know it shouldn't be that way but it is. Some things will never change, and actually we should be thankful about that. We humans have found a way to alter almost everything on this planet, it's good that we can't override all of our instincts, especially the laws of attraction. Men are men and women are women. So there. Give us our cake and let us eat it too!!!!!! :)

Women still have men take the initiative because men still avoid women who do the asking. Men still like the chase. If they figure that things happened too easily, they lose interest in the woman. The smart woman gives a guy a lot of 'yes' signals until he figures it's okay to ask her out.

Because you have to be confident to get the confident ones. I used to be the quiet type of guy. You need to start taking initiative. Don't wait for someone. If you see a girl you like, walk up to her and ask her. If you get rejected then you know it wouldn't have worked out anyway.

Thats because woman are dumb. They complain about everything they can get their hands on. If you satisfy one of their complaints than they will find something sels to complain about. They are generally bitches.
