I had a huge crush on a guy from college. It turns out that he is totally looking to settle down but keeps getting into bad relationships. After his last relationship, he went off the deep in dated like crazy for a few months, partied like a crazy person, cut off all communication with everyone, then a few months later he re-emerged with a new girlfriend. I think they are getting married after a few months of knowing each other. I'm so disgusted. I'm having a hard time letting go. I don't think he ever really knew I liked him. I feel like I really know his heart and character. He's a great guy. I don't know what to do. After he cut everyone off, I'm afraid he won't talk to me.

Getting married to a woman he barely knows, especially all that craziness, is not going to be good for him in the long run. If you really feel that way for him, you've got to try getting him for yourself, or you'll face a lifetime of regret. Go save him from a lifetime of regret too.

Talk to him, make him understand that you generally care about him and always have and that you think he could be making a mistake. Try. Sometimes the reward is worth the risk.

Well if he's getting married it's kind of too late for you to do anything. What you should of done is got to him before he got into a relationship and told him how you feel. Now you have two options, wait for him to get a divorce (if he's getting married) or break up with the girl, or you can forget about him and move on. I suggest you move on because if it's meant for you two to be together you will.

Uh, this guy doesn't sound like a good choice. He sounds like he's kind of immature, since he just emerged from the partying lifestyle, and now he's ready to marry someone he hasn't known long. Normally I'd say just talk to him, but it really does sound like he's not a good choice, sorry to say. I don't know that you really knew his character, since it sounds like he didn't behave the way you would have predicted.
