I doubt it. Christians have a strong sense of self righteousness, and no amount of evidence will "convince them" that they are wrong.
Personally, I care not what a persons sexual orientation is. If they are a kind, productive, member of society, what more is there. Christians are such a pain in the butt.

To fully understand Christianities standpoint on this, you must read what we have learned in the Bible. The reason there IS homosexuality in the first place is because of a world of sin. It IS genetic and hormonal because it has been INBRED into the human race. (This is really hard to understand and even harder for me to explain so just stay with me). The Bible talks about homosexuality as a choice because even those that are born with such hormonal differences have a choice to choose their sexuality. They may have the hormonal imbalances that cause them to be attracted to their identical instead of their opposite - but it is still ultimately their choice if they want to do right or wrong.
There are millions of people with imbalances that cause depression, for instance, yet there are medications that can help with such imbalances and people have the choice of choosing to get help or to continue life depressed. Of course, homosexuality is a lot more complex than that, but you get the idea.
Because of sin and immorality in the world, homosexuality has been acceptible and thus instead of trying to get help, people with this genetic and hormonal disorder have been told its okay.
According to the Bible, homosexuality is NOT okay. It doesnt matter what science says about this issue - Christians will not change their minds. Homosexuality is specifically identified in the Bible as a sin.
Hope this helps! R

When the same doctor who helped take homosexuality off the list as a DSM diagnosis went to a conference recently to show new data which gave light to the fact that treatment can help homosexuals interested in changing and aso helped with comorbid problems he was bood. This was not due to his research but due to his conclusion. This is politics not science. Another way to look at it is that there is more information that shows alcoholism is genetic than sexuality, yet we expect alcoholics to control their behavior not use their biology as an excuse.

It will not! Because even before time began, the works of THE LORD GOD have been finished from the beginning up to the unending world like a wheel that keeps on rotating. In a moment this universal Kingdom intended for men without end was born in a moment. That moment cannot happen on Earth but it can happen and it did happen in celestial heaven. In Rev 21:6 THE LORD GOD said It is done! I AM THE ALFA AND THE OMEGA. Also the Prophet Daniel prophesied saying what has been written must be fulfilled. And also THE LORD JESUS CHRIST did not stop Judas Iscariot betrayal but said instead let the scripture be fulfilled. The truth is that everything is bounded by the will of GOD and not our own will. Who among us invented his own oxygen, his own food, his own matter and the atoms and the electrons, his own brain, etc. None among us. But all of these were all created by GOD and they simply perform the will of GOD. Likewise, no one is born on Earth unless his name is written in the BOOK OF LIFE-long ago in celestial heaven. Similarly, by the will of GOD, homosexuals are actually symbols of the advance evolution of men as they are ange-like without gender. It is only when they commit lustful acts that they become perverts. According to THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, there are eunuchs born eunuchs and eunuchs made by men and eunuchs for GOD. Thus, thats the purpose of homosexuality. But under the deception of satan that perversion destroyed the symbolism of angel-like men among this imperfect world yet. THANKS GOD;FEAR GOD;PRAISE GOD;GLORIFY GOD; HONOR GOD;LOVE GOD AND WORSHIP GOD.

>>The scientific evidence for a genetic and prenatal hormonal influence on the determination of human sexual orientation just grows stronger every year.<<
Quite correct. So when it is definitively proven that pedophilia is genetic/prenatally determined, will you believe that God must have a purpose for it, and that it is acceptable for pedophiles to act on their sexual attractions?

Liberal Christianity has already change its stance. There are open and affirming churches in the United Church of Christ, Christian Church Disciples of Christ, and within many churches of mainline denominations. If you read the news you'll see that many denominations are examining the issue year after year. We may be a little slow, but we're getting there...

Science HAS basically proven that. The APA (or, rather, the leading psychological authority on the matter) has over 4 decades of research and data to back up their unambiguous assertion that homosexuality is a normal, natural, healthy, unchangeable sexual orientation.

Conversely, when science fails to prove it, will the gay agenda then be abandoned?
I agree with you that homosexuality is not a disease. It's not even a mutation. It's simply a sexually immoral conduct. It's a sin before the eyes of God. That's the ultimate reason for why it's objectionable, God says it is an abomination.

The experiments show that all people (and other animals) are actually bisexual and we learn to be ether hetero or homo.
Therefore, it is as much a choice to be a heterosexual as it is a homosexual. The rest is social control.
As for Christians accepting that, there will be those who do and those who don't.

I doubt it. Many will continue to argue it, claiming that some scientist somewhere doesn't agree with it and so it must not be true.
Of course that scientist will have his bills paid by the Christian Coalition, but no matter...
