In times of loss, some will say, "It's all part of God's plan." I don't think I believe this anymore. Why would He need a plan?

This is a very interesting question. Without going deep into religious beliefs or points of view let me tell you how I see it. I percieve god as a the equivilant of a scientist. A scientist is well educated and informed on the possible outcomes of an experiment. He knows what is supposed to happen if he combines chemical X and chemical C but there is still an opportunity for a variable to change the final results. Even the bible itself contradicts the "all knowing" aspect of gods ability. In every interaction god has with the human race he doesn't directly controls the outcome but leaves the subject with a choice. So even though god may know what the possibe outcome of a situation may be he doesn't know the exact results. So just like mice in a maze we are the human race and god does have a plan but look at it more like a chess match and less like a script. Thanks for making me think today.

God's plan doesn't include "loss." He created a perfect world without death, disease, or sorrow.
Unfortunately, the sin of the first two people brought death and destruction into this world, along with separation from God for all people in generations to come
But He didn't want to be separated from us, so He allowed His only Son to be born into this world and grow up to take the punishment for all our sins by dying on the cross.
Three days later, God restored Jesus to life.
That's what an awesome God He is!!!! All we have to do is accept His free gift of eternal life and we can have forgiveness and a relationship with Him. He will be with us through our troubles in this world, and we will be with Him in a perfect eternity. You can ask Him at any time or place for this free gift, He is waiting for you.

sigh......your under-estimating god. god doesnt NEED a plan, god has a plan merely because god wants to have one. it isnt like god cant change the plan. i think it is the humans that use the word plan, i dont think it is the proper word for this.

Nope.... God does not need a plan!.... He does not exist.. So there can't be a plan...

And if he existed and knew everything like most people say, there wouldn't be a plan!!

God is all knowing and all powerful, and I as a mere mortal human am incapable of understanding that. I believe some people will say this as their way of trying to comprehend God. How can we comprehend something that is beyond our capacity.......and yet we try.....For me I will just continue to believe in God's all knowing power....
Peace be with you.

Of course, when the devil hijacked the universe and the Trinity, god reverted to Plan B (aka “salvation”)

Every action requires a PLAN . even when driving we plan to stop at every red light. Even if the plan is thought up instantly.
When the red light is seen.
Every plan has an outcome. to achieve an outcome that we require, does require a plan.
to act without a plan does not ensure the correct outcome.

God has a plan.
God has the power and ability to make it happen.

Therefore, He is all knowing and powerful.

You just had it backwards.

As God is everything, God needs no plan, that "plan" is taught by unworthy teachers. ~ : )
