It would depend on the guy. Some might be turned off, but others feel differently. Are you and your BF really serious? If so, maybe you guys could come to a compromise about the size or location?

I think they are sexy as hel! Do it...I think the best place for a tattoo of a sun would be upper back and something more tribal or flowery on the lower back is also a turn on. Let me know and I can send you some cool lower back tats. Do it...

if i were you i'd get something more original than a sun. unless the sun means something to you.
hey, if he doesnt like it, he doesnt like it. it doesnt mean that the rest of the male species thinks that way. and if his opinion is the opinion that matters, then dont get one. but i do have a feeling that he'll b turned off by a sun. or any other weather symbol for that matter.

There was a men's magazine that did a whole article about tattoos on women and what they meant; like, a rose on her breast means that she feels vulnerable, that sort of thing. The whole article seemed to say that women with tattoos are more likely to put out, so guys who want to get laid quick should look for a tattoo on a girl. Your choice, but remember that when you age, your skin gets saggy and that tattoo is going with it. Your sun is going to look like a setting sun or an oval, at least. You can change your clothes, you can change your hair, but tattoos are forever. If you don't think styles will change, look at pictures of people from the 70s. At least they get to change their hair, you won't get a chance to change your ink.

it may be a turn off to him. if it's on your lower back, it's a bad idea. thats a trend spot and may not be the best place to get one. i say don't worry what he thinks too much, cuz if he truely likes u, then he'll look past it. if it's gonna be on your lower back, it's kinda an eye catcher and he may not want other guys looking at your butt, because it's close, eyes are bound to wander. i don't think so though.

Yes, most people find tats to be a definite turn-off. If you really want a pretty picture of the sun on your back, have someone do a temporary tat. Maybe a henna tattoo.

Different strokes for different folks. My husband likes my tattoos. And I am not lower class or easy. I am a happily married tattooed woman.

And as far as tattoos looking bad when your 70? What, you people honestly think because you don't have tattoos you will be gorgeous at 70, but we won't? LOL. I will be more worried about breathing than how my tattoos look at that age.

My first boyfriend said he'd dump me if I got a tattoo. I did anyway and he didn't dump me, in fact he's got them now too.

Its only a turn off to certain people - does it really matter??

A sun is a beautiful symbol, get that done.

I've heard some guys say its a turn off too.
But I think it all depends on the guy.
Most of the guys I work with don't like the girls who get a tattoo on their lower back so when their jeans ride up you can see it. They call it a "Tramp Stamp".
It's all a matter of opinion thought.
Just remember...IT's going to be permanent!
