Well, I dont think that if you still love them you shouldn't leave them....that's not right. Sometimes one persons love is NOT enough to save a relationship. The way that you leave someone that you still love is to do just that.....leave. And you have to keep yourself busy and do your hardest not to think about them (MUCH easier said then done). And one of two things will happen for you....Either you will realize that you guys were meant to be or you will eventually get over him. I hope it works out for you. Leaving someone you love is NOT easy......but sometimes necessary

Good question, that depends... I would think that if you loved someone generally you wouldn't be leaving, but if you two are just bad for each other or whatever your reasoning is, then you should just be honesty and tell them the truth. Whether or not you remain in that persons life would be up to them after that but its better to be up front and cut them loose then destroy you both by staying in something if you are not "in love" or into the relationship any longer. They will be far more hurt later if they get hurt by finding out the truth or something else happens before you get a chance to do it yourself.

If you are leaving someone you that you love, obviously you have a good reason to leave and you should. I would seek counseling and support, all the support you can get. Write down the reason you are leaving on a piece of paper and keep it in your pocket. Whenever you waiver, look at the paper and get your priorities straight again. Don't stay with someone you shouldn't be with. And above all, remember, you can't change other people. Good luck!

If there's a reason to leave the person, such as he's abusive, a freeloader, an addict, etc., I just leave. Yes, I may have feelings for the person against my better judgement, but I would rather protect myself than let my feelings control me. Then I just do what I can to keep myself away. I definitely keep reminding myself the reason why I left in the first place.

Sometimes you have to because you love them. Have you heard of tough love ---especially in tocsic relationships. And leaving may also wake someone up to really how much they do love you back, leave someone you love and if they were yours they will come back to you.

Why are you going to leave someone you still love? Try to work it out. Then if you really can't then you just have to go up to them and tell them that you want to break up and thats that. Don't keep any pictures of them, delete their number from your cell phone, and keep away from them as much as possible. It will hurt, but eventually you will move on.

Tell them that you love them but it hurts to much to be with them. Be specific if you must.
Then make sure you're not in a situation where you see the person often. If you work together, consider finding a new job. If you live together, move out. If you go to the same church, find another one.
Best of luck to you. :)

If you still love him, then I'd think twice about it if I were you. You don't want to live your life with huge regrets. My advice is to go to a marriage/relationship counselor to help you two *work it out*.
