Well, mixing with the single friends will help us not to feel out of place.

Although it is hard to avoid places where couples could be seen, it helps if you change your mindset about being single. Think about the freedom and the joy of being solo! You don't even have to go through silly arguments and breakups.

Well, thinking positive thoughts about being single certainly helps me not to think too much about my loneliness.

And if that doesn't help, I keep myself busy with daily activities.

I don't get lonely that often.
I really enjoy my own company and if anything I feel incredibly grateful that I am alone and that I had the courage to get rid of the ******** that lived with me and all the others that preceded him.
I remind myself that the peace, the quiet, the tidy place and the freedom that I used to long for are now mine to enjoy.

Woman who have husbands actually die younger than single woman. Have a little think about that and then ask yourself if us single woman are lonely!
I think not.

If I go through a lonely period, I just let myself feel it. If I don't try to supress it, it usually passes quickly. If it doesn't pass, I try to make plans with friends, do what I can to fill up my schedule, so I don't have time to feel lonely.

i'm still trying to figure that one out myself. =[ But what has helped, has been going out with girlfriends and having fun. Going to concerts with a group of friends. And sometimes just to get all of the emotions out of you, you can watch chick flicks that make you cry! It gets it out of your system and you're good to go! But i havent found a solution that stays permanent! but good luck!

You were born alone, and you'll die alone, but what do you do in the mean time? go out and enjoy your life. Dont wait for anybody else to bring excitement into your life. If you you'll just depend on others to help you enjoy your life.

When I get that feeling, I do something I love doing (hobby, running etc.)

It comes quickly and it will disappear quickly.
