This rice comes from the land far,far away called Zaratrain. As it comes to the groc. stores in a box with all the seasonings to make a very tasty dish. It is a recipe not a type of rice. Cajun.

YOU spelled it WRONG...it's just a brand name for a mix of rice with other stuff that's supposed to taste CREOLE, which, in case you didnt know, is a very tastey sub-culture in Louisiana
they love to put chikory in their coffee and use left overs to the best of their ability which is where most of these rice recipes came from.

Zatarains is just a brand name for a rice mix. I personally love the black bean and rice, and the dirty rice mix. And the leftovers are great in tortillas with cheese.
