can't get halo2(pc) working on vista?

Question

i have halo 2(pc) for windows vista i upgraded my computer and made sure i had all the requirements for the game everytime i try to play it, a window will appear and say
"This program requires Microsoft Windows Vista or Microsoft Windows Server 2003."
i already have windows vista...please help

i went to the microsoft website and it shows my problem but doesn't give me a solution

I hope this doesn't sound lame...there's an update on the Microsoft Games site:

http://www.microsoft.com/games/halo2/

I have heard of others having troubles. Perhaps they have solved it?

go to microsoft support website and ask your questions there.. windows Vista was dead in the water the day it came out...

But people still rushed out and bought it... just to be able to say I've got Vista .... then find out it will not run most things... your going to have to download the updates for the next 7 yrs, like we have with windows XP,,,and they still have not got it right yet,,,
