I just read in an answer to another person's question that there's going to be a New Heaven and a New Earth created! I might be able to accept the creation of a New Earth, but a New Heaven? I thought that both God and Heaven were Eternal. My understanding of Eternity is that it is without beginning or ending. Isn't Creation a beginning? The answerer also said the current Heaven and Earth are to be destroyed; if something is destroyed, is that not the end of its existence?

If Heaven is not Eternal how can we Live Eternally there? If Heaven is not Eternal, why would I believe that God is?

Not destroyed, but renewed. The heavenly city, New Jerusalem will come down out of heaven to the renewed earth. Read Rev. chapters 21 & 22.

Interpretatoin also has to be taken into context here. The apostle Paul speaks of three levels of heaven as well in the Bible. Keeping cultural reference in mind of the time period, the first level was the sky, the second level was the universe and everything beyond it, and the third level is what we traditionally think of as heaven, where we will Go after death and where God lives. That place is eternal. The New Heaven spoken of in the Bible most likely refers to the sky or to to the Universe or both.

Heaven and earth will be new in the aspect of rulership--not the destruction of or recreation of new places. God's Kingdom has already taken over and made the heavenly government new--Satan and the demons have been abolished from there and are now limited to inhabiting the earth. Soon, God's Kingdom will turn it's attention to cleaning up earth--all human governments will be destroyed (see Daniel 2:44) and Satan and his demons will be confined to a pit of inactivity for 1,000 years. The Bible says the earth will be destroyed as it was in the days of Noah--all governments under man's rulership were destroyed as well as all the wicked men and the things they had created. The earth itself is still here, is it not???

Thank you for using your God given intelligence. That is what I was trying to say in my question. The eternal world can not be created or annihilated. So the thing is it is the material heaven where the higher angels live in the Material heaven. The thing is the Christians are all confused because king Constantine changed so many things in the bible that they don't know heaven from hell anymore. What to speak of the material heaven from the eternal heaven. It is all in the Vedic knowledge if you want real answers go to harekrishnatemple.com It is all there. No trickery or deceit. Revelation 21:1-2 tells of the new heaven and new earth.

I can't find any verse in the Bible that says heaven is eternal. Please let me know where that is. Don't believe everything you hear. Ask for scriptures on the subject to make sure you don't make faulty conclusions. Your question: "Why would I believe that God is?" should be changed to: "Why should I believe the person who told me lies about Bible subjects?"

There are 3 heavens.

1. Earths Atmosphere
2. Star System
3. Planet where GOD the Father has HIS Throne for now.

When Adam Sinned, everything was messed up all the way up to the Throne Room of GOD.
One Day, GOD will Recreate Everything that Sin Messed Up.
Then, RIGHTEOUSNESS will REIGN through-out the UNIVERSE.
DItto.

God will make a new heaven and a new earth, it is not how we understand, it is beyond how we understand. Like God. God is eternal and his heaven is eternal but that doesn't mean our heaven and earth are.

Read the book of Revelations. It explains everything in there, although it may be a bit confusing, so you may have a pastor or someone help you out.
