with each question I answer they are losing the faith in my religion, I led them to christ by my emotion and zeal for God but I realized I don't know or understand much and now they are doubting the prayer of faith. Please help? they are asking too many hard questions and my own bible doesn't have the answers and sometimes contradicts my pastor's teachings overtly. I desperately need someone to tell me what to believe again so I can then convert this person back to my faith that others are right so I can be right. Does this help?

ok *edit*
without me saying I was an atheist at one time and am now myself an unbeliever, those with whom I talk to most of the time become backsliders simply by answering questions, not that I want them to stay a believer, but I actually want them to believe for themself in themself and want the same for myself. It's the assumptions by christians that I was another gimp guru trying to lead others blindly and getting the blind to follow the blind. With each question I answer, many are one step further from belief and closer to awareness and shunning fantasy and joining reality, as gloomy as it can be, has certainty that most cults offer, not in servitude and submission, but in responsibility for one's own actions and being the god in other's prayer and anwer to own problems and being the miracle they seek for themselves, others. Realizing we are very capable of loving and helping other sans religion is one step closer to acceptance of what is, not what we are told what should be:-)

See, that's Christianity's problem. Sooner or later, the emotion runs dry, and then you've got nothing left. Look for a religion that you can believe in using your MIND, and it will work, and be the one that works for YOU.

My friend, your Faith is in the right place for you care about your friends however each person must follow their own path to discover the truth because that is what life is all about. You have planted the seed, pray that the good Lord grows that seed for if you believe then it will be done.
No man has the answers for they must seek that from God Himself, you have done all you can for now so let the good Shepherd take over.
Keep seeking and you shall find the truth.
Good bless you my friend.

Your heart is to do what is right, and the Lord will bless you my friend. You led this person to Christ - that is wonderful, so don't allow satan to put doubts in your mind. The way to help this person is to show him/her the facts from the Bible. Salvation is not based on feelings, it is based on God's grace and Word.
Here are some passages from the Bible, to help you, to help your friend.
Romans chapter 1 verses 18-20.
1 Corinthians chapter 1 verses 18 - 31
Romans chapter 3 verses 23 -25
Romans chapter 10 v 9
Come back to me if I can help further.
Your welcome

What is your answer to your friend's questions?
If you can not answer them, how does that impact your faith?
Have you thought about what you believe? Have you thought about why you believe it?
Why do you need others to believe the same thing as you? If your belief is correct what does it matter what others think?
Can you learn to think for yourself, rather than relying on a book written long ago, or another man's spin on the same book?

Honey, someone else shouldn't have to tell you what to believe. Listen to your own heart and study. "Young or new" Christians are so intent on spreading their joy that they often start "running" when they should be learning to "walk". Study, study, study, pray, pray, pray and meditate, meditate, meditate. You have much to learn and much to come to term with. Find pastors, teachers and mentors who will help to guide your study. Remember, listen to your own heart to interpret your readings. When you simply rely on other people, you quickly find that people are often in error. Best of wishes.

Your addition is a little convoluted, but if I get the gist of it, you are trying to say that you are an atheist who get's his kick out of lying by pretending to be a Christian online? There are a lot just like you. Sometimes they pretend just to be ignorant and need help (like you today) and sometimes they pretend to be racist and narrow-minded just to make the religious look bad.
It's unusual to see someone "fessing" up to it. Usually they just troll and get their jollies. I'd like to think your conscience was bothering you, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Rather, you appear to want to say "nyah nyah nyah".
Personally, lying isn't in my moral code, but then I'm religious. I think you actually made the point of many that atheists and unbelievers don't have the capacity and moral guidance to have an ethical mindset. I've always argued against that point, but here's an atheist trying to prove things the other way.
Well, whatever "high" you get out of serially lying, I hope it helps you to eventually gain some peace for yourself. I'm sure that God has mapped out this path for you for some reason. I hope that it all eventually comes clear for you. I'll continue to try and trust that most atheists really DO try to be moral and ethical, without bending those terms to suit their purpose. I always like to see the best in people...or their potential best. I'll also hope that my original answer was able to help someone else who perhaps needed it.
Best wishes

1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
God will answer your prayers according to His will, and you must trust in Him completely. Don't try to rush things when you study God's word. Take your time, and pray and ask God to open up His word to you, and He will.
People back slide because we were all born into sin. But as Chrsitians who serve the Lord, when we come to Him in repentance of our backsliding, because Jesus took our sins to the cross, He will forgive us. The more time you spend in God's word daily, the stronger you faith and abilities to get through life will become. Don't give up on God, because He hasn't given up on you!
God bless you.

Dear, you can't convince anyone what to believe. I'm sorry that you feel your bible knowledge is not helping your friend with his questions. You know, there's an incredible book by Lee Stroebel called "The Case for Christ" that has alot of information in it that your friend may find interesting.
Please don't worry so much. Pray for your friend and trust that God will work things out.

Like many we became tired of the hypocrisy and we question where is Jesus in all the Pages of the Bible. They took out most of his life. And Paul's teachings on Slavery and animal slaughter it is all terrible. If you want to help yourself and your Friend read the original new testament before Constantine added and deleted so many things in the Bible. google gospelofthenazirenes.com It is truly the original with historical documentation of its authenticity. Then they will glide up beyond the nonsense.

How can you call yourself "Voice of reason" with a question like that..??
Your friend is on a path of enlightenment, and your silly deity worship practices are only going to stifle their ability to learn and to grow.
You don't have answers for their questions because the only way to assert credibility of your faith is with deception, ignorance, misinformation, mosquoting, and outright lies, like the ones you see here on these forums..
Leave them alone you religious fruitcake...!!
