Technically I am still Catholic. I am converting to Judaism as soon as I hit 18. Christianity is just not for me. I am researching Judaism and learning a lot. I also celebrate their holidays. It`s still hard switching from being Catholic to Jewish. Two very different religions. I mean I believe all that a Jew believes but it is still hard for me to jump in and truly feel like I fit in. I havent been to a service in the synagogue yet, I think I need to learn a bit more before I go. I`m also curious about how other Jews are going to treat me, since I`m not ethnically a Jew.

If anyone has any links or information they would like to share with me I would greatly appreciate it.

I was raised Catholic, until I realized they weren't actually Christians. I later came to the belief that all religions are made-up baloney, and that God never created or endorsed any religion. I am agnostic because I admit to ignorance of divine matters, however I believe in a creator/ creators.

I was raised pentecostal christian, which has roots in the santeria and in the cult of Mithra

I left when I saw much of my bible didn't support the doctrines and interpretations held by my fellow believers

I read Thomas Jefferson's Bible (only red letters of Christ and minimal history) and it was a whole lot smaller and sounded more like Confucius or Buddha than some Mossad type Zealot trying to overthrow the current Republican Romans

I wasn't raised a Christian but became one.

I know the reasons people leave, mainly because they keep their eyes on men and not on Jesus. We are all weak and susceptable to our fallen nature "especially" because we seek Jesus and if sincere "times will get rough" just as the bible says. Men are just men and we are influenced by their behavior.

There is no perfect man or church, all have shortcommings
"but" Jesus. The man or woman that can keep their eyes on Him and depend on Him only has a reward in all circumstances even though it may be going through hell, He's with us and no one else.

I was raised Catholic. When I was 23 I switched to Baptist. Now that I'm in my 30's I am agnostic. Clueless is a better description of my religious beliefs.

Born and raised a catholic. Left the catholic church when I was 25, tried Lutheran, Baptist, Evangelical until I realized they were all the same BS in different packages. I have been a happy and healthy atheist for the past 20 years.

I was Southern Baptist and realized the Cultural effects were not what my heart truly desired. I keep numerous diff bibles and currently reading and deciding where I would like to take my religion and beliefs. I believe that when I make my decision it will be right and exactly how it should be.

Me! I had mostly Baptist teachings, but did attend a Methodist church a few times, and another but I don't remember the denomination.
