They are virtually the same. Same engine (RSX version was tweaked for a few more HP but nothing noticeable), same approximate weight. As mentioned, one of the reasons the RSX was discontinued was that the Si gave the same performance at a lower price point. I would go with whichever one was cheaper.

if you can get the rsx for around the same price go with that one because it is a much nicer car than the civic si. Acura is upper class honda if you didn't already know that. The horse power also favors the rsx. However i do think the si looks better

Honda S2K - fastest (0-60 in 5.5 seconds or less), but only 2 seats, and kinda small. Good looking car though, but might not be very practical w/ only 2 seats. RSX-S - about the same speed as Si, maybe a little slower since it doesn't have a LSD like the Si. I like the looks of it more than the Si, and Acura sounds better than Honda Si Coupe/Sedan - probably no difference in performance between the two in a straight line. A little faster than the Type S, but you see Civics everywhere. If you're not looking practical, go S2K, otherwise, get the Type S. It's just as fast as the Si, better looking, and the hatchback gives you storage space. Plus, it has aftermarket support if you want it. The Evo IX MR is a monster, and has been my dream car, but the stock turbo will kill insurance and will be expensive to maintain. Plus, Mitsubishi isn't a great car company in terms of reliability. What about a 350Z or G35? They're as fast as the S2K (maybe a little slower), but are bigger and I like them more (G35 has back seat, and cheap insurance)

If you can get them both at the same price, get the civic SI. They got rid of the acura RSX because the civic SI is just as good and cheaper.
