Take the child in to protective custody until they can
fully investigate the accusations, if unfounded the child
should go back to their parents, if the findings are
substantiated, the person(s) responsible should be
arrested and tried on the appropriate charges.

Most kids in Juvenile court are abused or atleast neglected or they would'nt be there. Sometimes a sentance in a behavior modification program can save the kids from there home. The military style one are great in my opinion.

Depends on the circumstances of the case! I have investigated over 3,000 of them, and though many have similarities, they are all different.

Depending on the severity, the age of the child, the parents functioning, or lack thereof, all play into the outcome.

If a child cannot be safe in their home, they should be removed. And O have removed many! Almost all for sexual abuse and severe injuries.

I testified against Florida HRS in Belamy vs HRS after Broward County Medical Center settled with the guardian.

The state lost 12 Million, the largest award of it's kind in the US. It was a Shaken Baby case, initially unrecognized by the docs until he came in in a coma from being shaken. SRS has a founded case on this and they never saw the child! He can't walk, talk, speak! He can ride in a motorized chair!

If parents can't control their temper and leave physical and emotional damage to the child, they deserve to have them pulled!

Beat them with a rubber hose. j/k

They see these types of kids all the time. Unfortunately what can they do? Remove the kid from the situation... may make the kid worse off amd piss off the parents.

Order the parents to psychotherapy... ya right like the parents would go 1/2 the time.

THe courts can only deal with the reason the child is there...breaking the law.

Remove the child immediately and place them in a very safe, secure, loving home to first heal and giving them a sense of security and then find loving adoptive parents.

Too many children are taken into foster care from abusive parents and then returned to these same homes to suffer more drastically.

Child abuse is right up there with homicide in my opinion!
