Are we all in the same boat - so to say?

We are all going to have an "after-life", or none of us will have an "after-life".

yes and no. Depends on the situation. 'After life' offends me because it's presumptuous that everyone has the same beliefs and by saying we're in the same boat we discount the other person's beliefs. As far as more general things like, being human... yeah we're all in the same boat, unless you get a talking parrot to object.

I believe we are all going to have an after life so in that sence we are in the same boat. It is the destination of the boat though that is in question. And no, that expression does not offend my faith.

My friend, we are all born of this world and their for you can say that we are all in the same boat however if one man jumps overboard thinking that the boat is sinking, I would not follow because the boat may have been overloaded in the beginning and he has just correct the problem - hance the power of choice.

I think it stands to reason that we are all going to either have one or not. I do believe we are "all in the same boat". It doesn't offend my belief at all :)

Don't some sects believe that the faithful get resurrected and the unworthy stay worm food?

Most would agree with the statement, with the addition that only a select few of them (them being a changing group depending on who you ask) are going to enjoy it having an after-life.

Not offended, because it's partly true. We are all going to have an afterlife. The difference is where it will be--heaven or hell. There are two boats, so to speak. One's choice is which boat they will enter.

The human soul never dies.
Every soul has an after-life.
Every person is given a choice.
Two choices: Heaven or Hell.

Those who accepted Jesus Christ into their hearts
and lives as their only personal Savior are saved by the redeeming grace of Jesus Christ and go to Heaven when
they die in this life. Christians are then judged & rewarded
for their "good works", but only those good works they did in
their life on Earth that glorified God Almighty and Jesus
Christ.

Those who refused to accept Jesus Christ as their only personal Lord and Savior while on Earth, when they die they
go to Hell, where they await their own Judgment Day where every sin they have ever committed is shown & judged, any good works they may have done on Earth are as filthy rags & are consumed, and since they rejected Jesus Christ on Earth and their names do not appear in the Lamb's Book Of Life, Jesus will face each one & deny them before God Almighty,
& with those words, they will then be thrown into The Lake Of Fire with Satan and his demon angels where they will remain for eternity.

Offend ...? Not at all.

And, of course, you are correct on the question of an after-life... it either is or it isn't there waiting.

I'm inclined to believe that it isn't.... and I have very, very, very little doubt about it. I'd say the possibility of an after-life being true is less than 1 in a billion.

No, just live my current life the best I can and not spend my precious time "investing" in a waterfront condo in the "after-life". Go out and help someone while I can still afford to.

We all have an after life. Some choose to stay with their God for an eternity, others choose to return for another life, and some never arrive at a conclusion.
